Miror!? What you are saying there has no sense...It's like comparing NOKIA 3310 with N95 ;) This phone has what it needs to be a good phone..And it's design is very good ;)

The disadvantages in this phone are :
1) No wifi conectivity.
2) No HSDPA.
3) No Symbian OS.
4) No 3D sound speakers.
5) No 3.5mm audio jack.
6) The image quality of the camera worse than the image quality of the N73 camera because of the values of focal length and aperture.
7) No (VGA @30 fps) video recording.
8) No Xenon flash for long distance lighting.
9) No camera cover.
10) No optical zoom.
11) No DVB-H TV broadcast receiver.
12) No GPS navigation.
13) No document viewer.
14) No infrared.
15) The front camera QCIF video call.
16) The internal memory just only 20 MB.
17) The phone not slim enough (16.4 mm).
18) The screen protected by ordinary thin glass unlike the 6500 classic or the N95.
19) The color of the phone not attractive and there is no other color.
20) The phone design not good.

i dont get it. mobile manufacturers nowadays tend to introduce new models very quickly and keep it in pipeline as long as they wanted. what and where is logic !

Sorry, I should have said it comes out on O2's website on 8th October. That is what they told me when I rang them up. Their phone number is 08700 600 3009.It will give you a list of options & if you speak to sales, they will be able to tell you. Hope this helps.

First of all, I have to bring to you folks the bad news. Nokia has encountered technical issues with the 6500 Slide. They're working on it at this moment to have it fixed in time for the announced release date, which is during the 3rd quarter of 2007. However, there's no guarantee that it will be resolved anytime soon. The final specification of the Nokia Slide will be re-adjusted to reflect the omission of some of the features that has brought issues with this handset, namely the 3.2 Mega pixel camera and other dependencies.
The good news is, all of the mentioned bad news above is just a made up thing. Keep on waiting folks.

Just hold on you guys....it's coming.
The N95 was a 1st quarter release, and Nokia released it on March 25. It was at the very end of the 1st quarter, but it was still the 1st quarter.
Give Nokia until the end of September, I am quite sure it will be released by then, or very shortly afterwards.

i'm thinking of taking a post paid handset
but with nokia 6500 slide i'm prepeared to wait a little longer come on nokia cant wait forever......

Nokia is stepping up their design big time. Especially their sliders (this, Luna, & N81 are lookin good!). I can't decide between this or the N81. I think the latter has got me rethinking since I love playing games, has 3.5mm headdphone jack, wifi, & 8GB. This one has nicer build quality & better cam.

To Avenger / MobileSlider: Yea, the sliding mechanism of 7650 was really nothing but cr*p. Same thing goes for 6280 (which I bought last year and had to replace it only 3 weeks after I bought it). but they said they improved it when they released 6288, and now I am guessing 6500 slide will be doing good in that.
but we will just have to wait and see.
this will be released in Q3 this year. Q3 will be over within 3 weeks. nice.

Im almost tempted to go and buy the E65 or the 6110navigator...
