I have the older version of this phone. How and where can i upgrade my phone so i can use pc suite to download mp3 and camcorder? Does the mp3 sound good on this phone? Thanx

This was my first symbian phone. I had used 2 samsung models before it & 2 nokias also.
Initially I got this phone only for its camera, bcoz it had the best quality camera at that time in 2004.
And in the begening i was very confused, as the operations were quite different from series 40 phones.
But after a few days, I got hooked onto it. Just loved it.....there are so many programmes I could install in it. It just became a mini PDA for me. I had clicked more than 500 pics with it.
Only minus points it had was no radio & an extremelly buggy PC suite.
On sound fronts, the voice clarity was best i had ever experienced & network strength was great. However the speaker was low, and that was a lil irritating.
Eventually I sold this in end of 2005 for Nokia 7610, the megapixel camera was too much to resist ;)

I am determined to buy this fone during my monthly salary time.. Its got all the features i want and its way cheaper than it was back about few years ago.. Its a symbian fone so u can install any cool apps/games to it. Though the nokia 6670 is a better fone becoz of the camera the 6670 have too many memory problem issue unlike this fone.. And i hate d-pad fone like the nokia 6670 so the 6600 will rocks!! cant wait to get it!

To know the version of your phone,dial this number: *#0000# .And you'll see it.The latest version is 5.53.0.If your phone's version is older than this,then the version can be upgraded to the latest.If it is the current version then you can borrow the pc suite from a friend.Good luck.

everybody is tallking about pcsuite. When i bought my phone a year and a half ago i didnt receive that cd. Whats up with that? Can i get it somewhere? I want to put mp3 and camcorder on my phone. Or is my version too old to do that? and is pcsuite the only way i can do this? Thanx

yes you can receive and send mp3 thru both infrared and bluetooth.

I think the anti virus is something like fsecure.You do one thing,go to a nokia priority dealer,they will install anti virus in your phone.And guys anyone knows the difference between nokia hdd-1 and hs-7 headsets?

hello! thanks a lot for the advices... now i can send the mp3s to someone else and move them to my gallery folder... but i have an other question: Where can i get or what is the name of an Antivirus for this phone? i`m worried because i heard that there can be viruses in some files ... plz help me

Using fexplorer,its better to cut and paste the mp3 file rather that copying and pasting.

well u can just go to inbox in Fexplorer...there u will be having all the files transferred thru bluetooth or infrared..Just select thr mp3 file u want to copy it and paste it to the required location....fxplorer 1.16is just out...get it

RAKSHIT, you can't make the mp3's here as a ringtone sorry.
YONUT, try using an explorer to transfer the mp3's.

Use Fexplorer 1.15 and copy the mp3's into your mmc.

hello! i have bought this phone for a couple of days. i have a problem: when i receive a mp3 via bluetooth or infrared it's saved in Messages - Inbox, and i can't move them in My Gallery folder. Because of this i can't send the mp3's i receive. please if someone can help me... PLZZZZ
