Hello. I love this phone but i am also facing problems using infra and I really want to ask ( if someone knows inform me)that why am i not able to transfer any thing via my data cable model "DKU-5"universal serial bus. my pc doesnt detect any thing though my phone is connected..... I really want help please.

i am experiencing some problem in my phone set 6610i, when i add more than two(2) bookmarks and then exit back to main (default) view. and here when ever i press shortcut "GOTO" the phone restarts automatically and untill or unless i delete all bookmarks same happens on pressing "GOTO" shortcut.
Does you guys experience same problem ?

add bookmarks 3 or more then exit back to standby mode and press shorcut option "GOTO" what happends ????

The phone would have been up to my tsate if not for its non-functional infrared.....or can somebody tell me how to use it?

I can only receive Ringtones ect via Infrared but I can never send anything, how is this possible, what is the use then if you can receive but never send

The IrDA on the nokia 6610i is only ment for sending business cards (contacts) and calender notes and alarms to other mobile phones .All tought i dont no why you'ed want to send calander notes with alarms or contacts when your in the same room as the person your sending it to thats what nokia programed it to do and i dont think theres a way around it

Is the IR meant to just receive and not send? I can receive but can never send...or is there any other option of sending via IR?

The phone is good but it would have been better if its infrared and MMS would have been working. I am having a great deal of problem while sending MMS although my network supports it. Can anyone help me?

I thought I'd post this to save people time.
I got a Nokia 6230i and I found this page because my infra red was not working. I'm sure it's the same for lots of Nokia phones. The problem was that the speed of the infra red port on my pc was too fast. Go to device manager, go to the properties of your infra red port, and drop the speed to 9600bps. then it should work. can anyone tell me how to send files via infrared? Nokia 3200 easily sends files w/ Ir but in this fone, it's hard to find out why this fone can't send pictures... i need a fast respone... By the way, thank you...

I'm not too sure about ones comment about , not able to transfer multimedia to 6610i...
Personnally I love this phone...

I got the phone just 2 weeks back. The design is excellent. Ring tones are cool. But the camera is a sheer waste. FM Radio functions good. But how shall i use the head phone with no clip. Its too long. I didnt check out the IR facility. Other features are good. Im satisfied.

hi,
with the pc suite infrared works perfectly while when i try to transfer images ringtones or recieve between compatible mobiles the connection is failed while when i send the business card it recieves perfectly so i think infrared is not for other things is just for these business notes n cardz.
