Can anyone help me? This is the second nokia 6630 I have had. The first one the colour palette would not change and it kept on going off saying I have received a text message and nothing was there. The second phone I have only had 2 days but the only problems I have with this one is the colour palete will not change. I went in to the vodafone shop and asked if I could see a nokia 6630 and the same happened with the phone in store. Does anyone have any suggestions??????

      i am trying hard to get a good quality pic but very disappointed coz no clarity!!the pic looks good in d phone but when seen in d comp itz :( sad!!!can nyone tel me wat the problem is??

        Hello Nokia Fans !!! It seems that nokia finnaly released a mobile phone that rocks but when this phone will apear in Romania? Oh and does the EDGE is working here? 10x...waiting for your mail. Piace!

          Hi, nokia 6630 owner, like to check with u...
          a) How long does it takes to "boot up" the phone?
          b) Does Symbian 8.0 has all features from Symbian 7.0?
          c) Can this phone read and write chinese?
          d) Its processor is double than of 7610, 6670, 6600. So when used in this phone on Symbian 8.0, is it fast?
          e) Does picture taken has blurish effect as that of 7610 and 6670?
          f) When viewing picture in the best resolution taken, is it instant or have a wait for few seconds?

            Can anybody tell me how call I find the call duration info. I mean total call made and received. Also the same for GPRS. I am not been able to figure it out. I hope Nokia didn't omit these.

              I like this MOBILE. It's really nice. It has all the importent options that people wants.

                  Finally Finally, I have got hole of this one. Luckil for me, the last piece.

                  I have been toying with this one now for almost half a day. No oo many problems yet, will let you know my personal review in a day or two. Also there is no restarting problem yet on my phone. By the way Camera is awesome. I am trying to igure out to use my GPRS connection on my laptop. If that works, i will give it a 9/10

                    hi!THeLeaDer does the n6630 sound good? i used to have a 3650 and the sound it's that good but it's kinda ok. please let me know other things about this phone coz im buying in next month. thanks

                        hmmm not bad not bad at all i like this phone but i think ill do with a nokia 3230 both the phones are cool looking no matter what anybody says they are also similar too in ways of their os and features.

                          i think the n-gage games DO work on the 6630! i used to have a 6600 they worked on that one!(you have to edit some things with some programs) i just bought the 6630 i didn't have time to try it out yet, but as soon as i do i'll let you guys know!(and ps the f-ing phone isn't ugly dude! check out the other 3g's!)

                            Hi,

                            Does anyone knows what fixes that are included in the new 6630 firmware?
                            (V3.45.110, 02-12-04)

                            I have 2.39.xxx now, and currently have the following problems:

                            1. Whistleing high-pitch sound when doing voice only 3g calls (problem not noticeable when using the hands-free, noise come from phone only). Some other guy that had the same problem said this only was the case on 3g networks, not on 2g. I haven´t tried this though.

                            2. Reboots once in a while. Everyone seems to have this problem. Any better now?

                            3. Standby time always less than 34 hours even when not touching the phone (regardless of 2g, 3g, offline, without sim, signal strength). This may be a hw defect in my phone though.

                            Are any of these specific problems solved?

                                i took the phone to nokia for service. they were unable to fix it. and they gave me a new phone. but very soon, the same problem recurred. i got back to report the case to them. nothing can be done. hope they will be tackling it seriously and have a solution very soon.

                                  For those guys who have been thinking that getting EDGE activated will help u get broadband speeds while browsing on ur handset - prepare to be disappointed . I got EDGE activated and was surprised to find that that I was still getting only around 50kbps. But all the operators in India have advertised about broadband speeds on handset for browsing and streaming . But the EDGE speeds are only for streaming it seems . the problem is this . I sent a mail about this to Nokia and this is what I got in reply -


                                  Dear Mr. Ram,

                                  Thank you for your email to Nokia Care.

                                  With regards to your enquiry, please note that, currently in India there is no network service provider who provides internet access service EDGE modem but they currently provide service for online video streaming. The internet access that you currently have is GPRS service.


                                  So u can get only GPRS (50kbps) browsing speeds .....on ur handset/pc ....EDGE speeds are available only for streaming

                                    anyway.......bugs:

                                    sometimes when im taking pictures or accessing messages, it says memory card not found, will now use phone memory. but, clearly, the card is in FIRMLY. either i have to reboot the phone (without removing and replacing the card) which proves the electronics are okay, or i have to remove and replace the card for the phone to realise its in there.

                                    secondly, the much-praised camera quality is well...crap. There is ALWAYS noise in the pictures day or night (hideous amounts of noise indoors), so you need something to remove it later. something like adobe photoshop. the image is ALWAYS a little blurred, no matter what resolution you use. you will NEVER get a truly beautiful shot (ie one that you can print) from this. the d500 kicks ass over the 6630 in this respect, despite the fact it uses more jpeg compression. the d500 delivers better pictures with a smaller file size.

                                    anywho, i got this phone for 20 quid from orange 3G retail on 30 pound a month. i get 200 anytime x net rollover for 1 month, 1000 anytime texts, 50MB data usage, 60 mins anytime x net video calling inclusive. 380 quid for the whole year. they knocked 50 quid off because i got introduced by a friend and 50 quid tradein for my 3310. the 1000 txts are because im a student!!

                                      Hi, all, I intend to buy this phone. It's appearance is not important to me. I am more into its features, hardware and software reliability. I see more of software problems in this forum such as reboot etc... can NOKIA 6630 advise me? THANKS

                                        this fone is probably the best atm. it looks cool and 1.3 megapixel! and its clearer than the s65 camera. it is a symbian fone and has everything for a multimedia fone. the only thing is porbably the weight of it.
