I used Galaxy SL-i9003 two weeks.
Again I switched back on nokia with 701.
Due to bad performance of Galaxy in GPS.
Everyone have his own choice but professionally I need good GPS and navigation.
Galaxy and Nokia 701 Compare with points out of 10 according to my opinion.
We try to find the good spec as below, with the points N for Nokia G for Galaxy.
OS , Stability and Apps------N=6 G=7
Apps Installation process.---N=7 G=6
Battery time---------------- N=7 G=6.5
Sound loud n Quality---------N=6 G=7
Display size-----------------N=6 G=7
Display sunlight legibility--N=9 G=7
GPS performance ------N=8 G=5
Navigation n Maps------------N=8 G=6
Call handling and Low signal-N=7 G=6
Web Browsing and FLV etc-----N=6 G=7
My app UTM data ( Java)------N=8 G=0
At least, a java Application which I could not install on Galaxy its UTM data which is compatible with.
Nokia Maps also you can easily save location, convert Coordinates and arrow navigation.
Total. Nokia= 78 Galaxy=64

My Nokia 701 has problem with wifi. It is connected with wifi but dont open any website or application while wifi connection is on. If i connected through GPRS then all are working ok. Any one have this problem? Please suggest me what can i do to solve this problem?

AnonD-27960, 19 Jan 2012SYMBIAN--- 1-simply i love Symbian for their compactness. ... moreYour opinion about symbian being more sensitive to virus is wrong,symbian os 9.3 and later os (s60v3.2,v5,s^3) uses strong security like that of unix-single permission for every single process,even exe files wen not present in proper places can't be run plus you can't run any unsigned files(unless you hacked your phone),there is no real world virus problem now in newer symbian version unless you use third person cooked-up version of os.On other hand android is more vulnerable to virus compare to symbian since any third party app can gain access easily to personnel information,virus in android is more like trojan,you will never know you are infected plus filter used by google in their app store is not fully effective,some infected apps have caused problem after installating from store but risk increases wen you install apps from outside store.so called lag in nokia n8 is more of hardware issue(like memory card,sim card,etc.) or software bug(not virus,bug in the sense bad programming).wen comes to security/privacy symbian is way ahead of android..

1-simply i love Symbian for their compactness. it is best in simple use .

2-i missed battery backup and option to change themes mostly. in android there is mostly third party apps for that but i hate them they slow down my phone.

3-Multi-tasking of symbian is much batter then android and i thnk this phone wid 512MB ram and 1 GB ROM perform superb.

4-In android there is too much bugs. apps crashed some time even in dual-core,but not in SYMBIAN. :)

android also have some +features for users
1-as i say it have a lot of apps,ur phone support only mp4 don't worry download any player frm market,now ur mobile can support any formet, u need to edit photo,vids,UI there r so many free apps in market for this, i m much impressed wid market.
2-in my opinion its looks is much batter then symbian.and HD games r great i spend most of my time to play these games....
3-Android deals very good with users in terms of messaging, customization , using 3rd parties apps etc i found my n8 doesn't do well specially dealing wid 3rd parties apps (it takes lot much time and some time hangs.)
4-i think Symbian is much sensitive wid viruses ,and anti-viruses in Symbian are not useful.i haven't seen any big virus name in android yet. but my N8 slows down many time coz of virus attack.

but these r just my opinion,may be i m wrong.
I LOVE BOTH OS. I HAVE NOKIA N70(s60v2) , N8(anna) and now arc(GB). love them all too much ... :D

c, 19 Jan 2012actually I felt tft better than amoled , bcoz amoled uses s... moreya bro u r rite. first TFT produce much natural colors then Amoled.amoled only produce brightness and sharpness.

i update my 701 to firmware version 030 but its strange in nokia web site it says only version 020 is avaliable

actually I felt tft better than amoled , bcoz amoled uses saturated colours , anyway no mater how many bad comments u ppl make , I ll still say this is the best phone . faster, smother, easier and better ,.and ovi store is expanding too.

best symbian phone till date, its graphics processor can handle 1080p videos..
v need more video players like android..

battery life? So far so good. 24 hrs life for heavy browsing (2g) ,txt,music. . . Sound is go0d very crisp. Not too loud like an chinaph0ne.lol but overall a great smart device..

while symbian is a much stable and compact os. which gives u a long battery life compared android.

I used n8 for a long time now jumped on android . but one positive point of android that makes its superior then symbian is its market which include commanly all type of apps. basicly I thnk if I have this app in my phone, I got it frm market . :-D
but lot of bugs. :-(

You used Samsung galaxy SL for almost 15 days and before you were using Nokia C7.It would be very helpful for people deciding to buy a new cellphone if you tell in brief all the differences you found in symbian anna and Android OS.and PLZ do write your experience about Nokia Belle after you buy Nokia 701.which OS did you like and dislike?..(try to throw light on speed of OS,internet speed,built quality,screen,connectivity,overall feel of the handset with all differences among these handsets.

melalert, 15 Jan 2012whats the sense of ur NFC here and your GPU that the other ... moreMan...now we know how smart you are .apk(Android application package) is for android not for symbian.....Its same as saying you cant use .gz file in windows.. :-)
