I've just bought Nokia 701 phone for my fiancee. So far, the phone is great and fully function. Play game smooth, no lag. I've tested bluetooth file transfer and even the GPS. Almost everything when well except nokia player for song. the setting kind of weird. I have yet to try video player .... it's been 2 days of using.

AnonD-23749, 22 Oct 2011Sincerely speaking i have not used it for more than a day. ... morehey sorry to hear about ur mobile condition, i have earlier mentioned you that my mobile is also having the same bluetooth problem but i dont why but am able to send files to my mobile well without any error issue but condition is when i transferred files which are compatible with the mobile, i just figured out that we need to digest that our mobile is also similar to i-phone where bluetooth is only to connect to an audio device or to a headset but not for file transferring ;)

[deleted post]I don't think the dealer would even care to try sending a huge 300mb file just to check the bluetooth connectivity of the unit prior to giving the phone to the buyer.
And while some are experiencing bluetooth problem, they must be aware that they can successfully send file only to a device with ENOUGH MEMORY. For example, if they are sending 400mb file, the receiving device must have 400mb or more free memory. Otherwise, sending will FAIL.

From the limited usage i have observed that the phone lags while you are installing applications. if u leave it like that for sometime it will be normal and fast. All the symbian 3 apps are not completely compatible with belle as far as my observation is. And when ever i on the social app my phone starts freezing. other than these everything else is great. people speaking about the lag in asphalt 6 and nfs shift is also true. i have noticed it. but other games like asphalt 5, angry birds, fruit ninja work really great. What ever i am writing here are true. These are my observations

For everyone here who are doubting my credentials and my claim about Nokia worst service and for people who ever are thinking that i am discouraging potential buyers this is the proof. just click the link below and u can see the video of images of my Nokia 701 after i got it from Nokia care. These are the pics that i have taken before i gave them back the phone possibly for replacement(the images link of picasa i have posted below is not working somehow. so i decided to upload them as a video on you tube).

Mr.sunny9692 and Mr. anonymous. Do you guys think that i have no other job than just coming here into this forum and speak something rubbish.I was the one who recommended this phone to others. Now i totally got frustrated with care people that i no longer feel like using my phone even after i get it back and hopefully a brand new replaced one. And as Mr.anonymous said i even thought that would be small software problem and will be rectified after the software update.But that is not the case and instead even after the updating of my phone to the latest firmware the problem is not rectified and still remains. Unfortunately i don't have any proofs of that(Bluetooth problem) and i really don't care if you people believe it or not. The fact that plate under the screen is changed itself shows that it is not a small problem and there is something more serious about it. And i advice the guys in this forum respect others views and their info.

A bluetooth file transfer problem is a minor one and i believe the same can be solved by restarting or formatting your device. Or if not by software update. But you saying they replaced the plate under the screen is somewhat i dont believe they would do. Plate replacement has nothing to do with bluetooth. I am therefore thinking that you are just discouraging potential buyers of this phone, and for them to buy samsung phone instead. I might be wrong though.

AnonD-26581, 22 Oct 2011wao.....that sounds unbelievable but that's really great.90... morehi friends i am totally unsatisfied with Nokia customer service. i have heard people saying this before and i never believed it. i thought Nokia customer service is the best.But now i feel the heat of it.I really hate Nokia now.I already said i have faced Bluetooth receiving problem on the first day i bought the device and i gave it to Nokia care people.They could not rectify it and so they have sent it to Nokia head quarters in Noida, India. After 21 days i received the handset yesterday and i am shocked to see its state. The color of handset is silver and they have changed a metal plate under the screen which is supposed to be silver in color to black colored one(it was silver before). There were a lot of scratches on the back side of handset and also the metal plate above camera. It does not end there. The basic problem for which i have given it to Nokia care is not rectified(Bluetooth receiving problem).The problem still remains. As many people suggested this might be a handset specific problem but it seems to have effected more than a handful of handsets. I am seriously unhappy with Nokia service and i have given it back to them. I have asked them for a replacement. Can someone please suggest me a way to contact Nokia higher authorities and get a new a new handset.Now i am felling that i should have bought some Samsung droid device

Somz, 22 Oct 2011I successfully received an 900 MB video file in my 701 thru... morewao.....that sounds unbelievable but that's really great.900mb is a large file.so how much time did it take to tranfer

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2011i cant connect the net configuration well and its display l... morei am experiencing the same with my 701 and it bothers me a little. when i am in a well lighted room the screen automatically goes brighter and in darker places the screen also goes dark.lol!
