Karthik, 27 Dec 2019I don't know why Nokia is using old hardware please improve... moreHonestly i like this, because i get to have a great device at a cheaper price. I always used flagships, but i will NEVER pay 1000 euros for one, first, because it makes no sense, i rather go in a vacation somewhere far away from the world, second because is not worth it, as the prices grew but not the functions, not the quality, nothing actually. Hack i'd never pay 1000 euros for a laptop. Lifespan of both type of devices is mediocre at best, now is new tomorrow is old. So why paying premium for that? So i actually love my nokia 9, fast and reliable. 600 euros only because of a 8 months old cpu, at release... i mean, 8 months before it's release, devices that used that cpu cost 800 to 1200 so yeah, i pick the nokia 9 for that matter only, plus the fact that the price remains stable and does not go down, like samesung from 900 to 600 or less in 6 Months, let alone other stuff i like about it. For you a cpu means old hardware, for me, it means good for the price, yet still a super capable cpu that is dismissed only by typical unknowing wannabe's.

Aceryz, 28 Dec 2019I've read and listened to many opinions about this Nokia ph... moreWow. At last, I feel very much pleased to hear a professional (EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL) reply. Opinions, discussions or arguments arises because of competing products. People argue the same way like you do by comparing it (Nokia 7.2) to competing Chinese products. Why? Not only they are cheaper than Nokia 7.2, but has better specifications than Nokia 7.2. It is definitely NOT that this phone can do nothing or that it can't perform. When you are in an interview the probability of getting selected depends upon the quality of your competitors. If Nokia 7.2 is the only mobile available in this world you/I will not be here to comment. To make things more understandable, when you have your own complaints about Nokia 2.2's low internal memory, why shouldn't others have their own set with respect to anything and everything whining like babies. As I've already said consumers will not definitely look into the MARGINAL DIFFERENCES of pricing if NOKIA 7.2 is atleast on par (though not SUPERIOR) with the competing products just because of Nokia's brand image/value.

I've read and listened to many opinions about this Nokia phone and the general complaint seems to revolve around the supposedly outdated hardware. My take is this: quit whining like babies!!! What matters is the performance and usability of the phone, not what the latest hardware under it is!
I currently have a Nokia 2.2 which I bought it as a temporary phone. My main disappointment has been the fact that the 16GB internal memory wasn't as much I expected it to be.
However, this phone can do everything I want it to do with over 95% satisfaction! I mean, I've been playing all modes of FIFA Mobile on it without a single issue!
If Nokia 2.2 can do this, do all you naysayers honestly want us to think that the Nokia 7.2 is that bad?!

Nokia name is like only for marketing now. Specs amd quality isn't really above average. The only thing HMD got right with Nokia is its monthly security update.

Hi,
Does this phone also have the USB C port issue common amongst other Nokia phones (Nokia 7 plus, 6.1, etc)? Is the USB C port loose or tight? Please respond. Thanks.

In fact I still feel that something more has happened to Nokia than we may think. Maybe the real tech savvy's of Nokia have left them

Everthing else is good got latest feature update today too , but there is a problem with my nokia 7.2 proximity sensor since i purchased it, may b hardware problem, do not know if any one of you got the problem or not, the problem is:
When i continue a call more then 2 or 3 minutes and remove the phone from hear the screen does not show up, this is caused due to sweating or hair oil on sensor , but when clean it by tissue paper or double push power button then screen shows up, i have used many nokia before such issue never happened, any one got same issue confirm me, if not then I will claim the hardware warranty. This sensor should not need cleaning for little moisture, it should show screen auto even it got sweat or hair oil moisture, sensor should not be too waek

Subramanian CN, 18 Dec 2019Thank God. Knowingly or unknowingly you've admitted everyth... moreHMD is not Nokia! HMD want to use the "Nokia" brand to fool users to buy HMD phones! Would anyone buy a HMD phone without the "Nokia" brand? The quality of HMD phones are what you would expect from "HMD", nowhere near the quality that "Nokia" phones are imagined to have had!

Loremjohn, 22 Dec 2019Thanks for the time taken to explain your answer. I really ... moreI really missed one divine piece of information. Pixel device's software is different from Android One software. There are plenty of differences between the two. There are lot of algorithms specifically made to Pixel devices (Camera specific, Facial recognition, etc.). Even their launcher is different. When coming to security updates, Pixel devices gets its due consideration/care first. Needless to say, Google would give utmost importance to their own Pixel devices than any other Android One device, the reason as to why they (Pixel devices) stand tall.

Sometimes online reviews are biased and subjective at best. Almost all the reviews I have read about the Nokia 7.2 paints a sub-par experience of the phone.

Loremjohn, 20 Dec 2019How is the software experience on this device? Is it bug fr... moreDo you need an honest answer?
If you believe that Android One is bug free, it should too be the case with Nokia 7.2. All Android One devices contain the same software.
To your second question, pushing performance updates is not only the RESPONSIBILITY of Android One devices but for every device that comes with SOME software that can be updated.. To be more precise it can be termed as the WISH of the manufacturer. Take for example our satellite TV set top box which gets updated frequently. Even a NON-Android One device might very well get performance updates if its manufacturer wishes. As per the books, Google promises to provide security updates to all their Android One devices for a span of three years. This definitely includes performance updates. To check where it is the same as it is done for Pixel, you have to experience it yourself by comparing it side by side with a Pixel device.
