I've had this phone for three years, never cleaned the port and never had any trouble with it. But I used an aftermarket cable as Nokia's frayed quickly. Not sure if this made any difference.

Fantastic phone. I've been using it for 3 years, 3 months now with no issues.
To all folks. Please! There is no "problem" with the charging port. All you have to do is clean it up from time to time. Because of the sharp metal frame, it accumulates a lot of gunk at its bottom, which prevents the usb cable from entering properly. And when you slam the usb in, the dirt gets even more compact and hard. It almost looks like part of the frame. Just get a thin stick or a needle, and clean it up carefully (scratch it out). WD 40 or some alcohol will help. That's it. It's incredible how many people don't realize it. The port itself is fine and has always been. It's a stupidly simple problem that requires just a minute of consideration.
I just do it twice a year or so, and I don't have any issues with charging.

I've had it for less than a year and already the charging port has deteriorated to a point where I can't charge it anymore. Never came across a device that is this flawed. I've got way older smartphones and tablets that can still charge fine. Probably because none of them is a Nokia. Last time I'll be buying a Nokia phone, that's for sure. They sure don't make them like they used to.

I tried many mods from the XDA forum, but it crashes several times, sometimes when I change the camera mode to video or macro it freezes and the application crashes, sometimes i hear the click sound but the image file is not saved.

I've had some bad phones but this phone is the most infuriating. I regret buying it. I had the first one for about 4 months when the known charging port issue came up and it was replaced with a brand new 7 plus, 1 month after the first update the screen started freezing randomly even when on simple apps like WhatsApp or Gmail. I've now had the replacement for a year and a half and I still have this issue with the screen where I have to lock and unlock for it to respond, it's extremely annoying.

My worst phone ever, on it more than 3 years.
Charging port broke twice now it charges with certain cable at certain angle, lots of bugs after update to android 10. Stock camera is mostly shit and it became impossible to install google camera to make nice photos.
Good: battery life, nice design, rigid build

I'm one of the Happy owners of Nokia 7 Plus. I've an issue with this phone is charging port. It charges fast (rapid) if I keep the device at a certain angle, otherwise it doesn't charge or charges slower ☹️
My question here is if someone had repaired such issue on your 7+, if so what did service center guys do whether they changed the entire Sub board or the C-type port alone?
Yeah, there's bit battery drain issue but not on standby mode. Everything else works like how it was when I bought this phone 3 years ago!!

It is just not possible now, as Chinese manufacturers will provide same specs in a plastic build phone at half the price.

Phones like this are pure art, which Nokia dared in create in last years. But that was only possible due to the manufacturing might and major help from Foxconn. That partnership is gone.

my problem s socket charge handled with glue i save it
and ear speaker have bad sound..my phone is not repair ed yet..

Best phone ever made and used. Sharing review after using it for 3yrs without any issue.
Never used any phone for such a long period.
Everything is best about it. majorly the battery backup still giving me the same output as it was new. Really impressed.
Hope we get such kind of masterpiece from Nokia again. eagerly waiting

The screen freezing: This is a hardware issue most likely caused by crappy screens or a shitty panel driver that should get updatet once you send in your phone for screen replacement. (I know this advice comes late, since most Warranties have probably run out by now).
But this solved the issue for me. PS: This is the THIRD screen that I have on this phone. The first one died abruptly while using it. Then I got a replacement screen. Soon afterwards the screen freezing started. I tried to live with it until that screen also died abruptly. I had a quick fight with the Nokia support over if I still had warranty (which I won) and got my phone repaired for free for the second time now.
Now I am happy with a functioning screen, no freezing, no backlighting problems. No issues.
For the battery drain: SWITCH OFF THE F****NG AI Battery optimization, like every tech forum recommends and recalibrate your charging electronics. (google knows how to do that!)
The only issues that I still face is that Snapchat sometimes crashes or cannot access the camera. But this is not really surprizing since I use a GCAM-Mod to get Pixel like quality photos from this phone.
Sumary: This phone is great! You just need the will and the skill to use it t othe best of its abilities!

Battery lasting record was 5 days, believe or not. With some casual use have to charge it once in 2 days. Great phone so far and not even planning to swap to anything else.
