Ive had this phone since April 2018 when it was launched in Europe. The phone ticks all the boxes of a great midrange phone except that one bug overpowers all its good things - screen freeze issue.

I have had screen replace under warranty which temporarily fixed this issue for like 7-8 months and then they popped up again.

I am now 100% convinced this is no software issue or bug that has anything to do with updates. Its just plain faulty display hardware. Stop trying "tricks" you read on internet to fix screen freeze issue (e.g changing animation speed, using custom launchers bla bla).

I have been a loyal Nokia fan within Symbian era, Windows Phone era and even Android era. But I will not buy a Nokia again. They do a good job on most fronts and then get one very fundamental so wrong that it kills all the positive vibe that comes out of their product.

Will switch to Motorola now - hoping they dont have such bugs.

    Very good phone on this price category. All excelent. Recommend. Baterry good. Keeps long time.

      Bought it last November, and believe me in this price range this is the best phone. Although there have been some freezing issues in the mid of this one year, but they vanished on their own. Decent display, battery life with amazing build quality and clean Android 10 is a plus.

          it has a charging port issue, and am not sure it has a gorilla screen, it fell from a height of 0.25metres and cracked... so Nokia this was the worst of Nokia HMD

              The chraging socket doesn't work every 3 months or so ething and u must replace it so i eouldnt recommend it to anyone

Although I would not recommend buying any of them since they are both old. I think Nokia 7 Plus is slightly better than Mi A3. The screen feels bigger (probably because it is wider), the resolution is significantly higher and color calibration is better. The fingerprint on the back of Nokia 7 Plus works faster than Xiaomi's in-screen fingerprint reader. Nokia 7 Plus has NFC, while Xiaomi Mi A3 lacks NFC. Other than that they are very similar and they are both good phones for their time and price. But I would recommend getting Pixel 4a at this point.

                          i had it few months and it stopped charging, it had guaranty so i had it fixed. After some months it started to have the same problem, now its almost impossible to get it charging.

It is set ... moreIf you are using the phone for watching movies/streaming, expect a drop of 6-10% per hour on wifi. If you use it for browsing, expect a drop of 8-15% per hour depending upon the browser. If you don't have greenify or any other app killer installed, you will see more battery consumption since background apps do consume battery.
                                If you factor all this, I believe, you should get around 8-9 Hours SOT but 7Hours SOT may be because of background apps or some app which is power hungry. Observe the pattern when you use a particular app & you can calculate expected SOT accordingly.

It is set to aeroplane mode. As such I am having 7 hours SOT with the phone. No gaming but extensive browser and multitasking to an extent the phone gets warm. Some YouTube and movies. Due you think battery backup is OK? What I'm more concerned is when the phone switched off it will drain the full battery in a week when switched off.

It is always possible that HMD discovered some bug after first wave & stopped roll out to fix it. Better to have bug free experience any day. Hopefully the MR will be worth the wait.

                                        Did not receive the much hyped MR build (00WW_4_16B) in India. Instead received a tiny 40.55 MB update for my Nokia 7 Plus, upgrading security patch to Sep, 2020. My current build number after update is (00WW_4_15D_SP04).
