actually, Applications written for single core can run on multi cores. it's the other way around. Applications for multicores can't be used on single cores since processing power and speed is radically decreased.
That's why for games and applications...for example on a PC, there is a notification there that says must have atleast Intel Celeron(eg) or higher. Meaning to say the application requires that specific CPU but would work on more advance one.
Have you tried playing BATTLE CITY or PACMAN in a PC? that was written for a 16bit family computer.

I believe this is just a beta. Nokia would be reeasing a Lumia Pureview. so i guess WP will be the OS for this technology.

Q. Is the phone made out of polycarbonate?
A. Yes, but with a ceramic-like finish. Other materials used include stainless steel for the buttons and switches and camera bezel and Gorilla glass for lens protection and for the display.

AnonD-50006, 11 Apr 2012I just wonder why Nokia uses Belle on this more-than-smart ... moreBelle is actually the best choice for this. The hardware requirements for Belle (as with other Symbian versions) are low. The camera module was specifically made for the Symbian platform. As for Windows Phone, its restrictions rival that of the iOS. The biggest fault if WP is that it does not have sideloading support.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sideloading
Remember how iOS requires iTunes to save music to the device? Well, WP requires Zune. No bluetooth transfer of mp3's either.
Android is very poorly optimized. It requires more powerful hardware to run smooth such as dual-core CPU, powerful GPU, 1GB RAM, huge battery life. These components are not cheap, and will definitely increase the price of the phone.
Besides, a dual-core phone may not be practical. The OS might be programmed to use multiple cores, but you can't say the same for apps. Almost all apps are written for single-core only. Those apps cannot really take advantage of multiple cores.

I just wonder why Nokia uses Belle on this more-than-smart phone. I wish it use, well at least, Windows Phone. Yet I really wish Nokia launch the Android phone instead of ever-decreasing Symbian & Mango's handsets.
