Its main advantages are its stability and free sat nav..not many people know its has a Pentaband 3G which not many phones have and is pretty useful if you travel a lot,also wifi b/g/n which in my experience is much better than other phones I've used, the music player and its cover flow are top notch (you have to see and hear it to know what I mean)and the touch screen is very smooth with good sensitivity and haptic feedback, with good kinetic scrolling.
Other disadvantages may be fewer apps as compared to the competition, but to be frank I've been able to get all the apps I wanted or needed, and also,if you're not familiar with symbian, the menu structure takes some getting used to.

Pls, someone tell me how should i update this p... moreThe easiest way is to connect your phone to a good wifi network, run software updater which U'll find in your phone under applications -> Tools, and follow the prompts..if it asks you to update using OVI suite then you need to install Ovi suite on your pc and update via USB cable..

Just a small review for people who want to ... moreI agree with what you've said..rumour has it the next update will bring improvements to the browser..I hope it does cos I just cant bring myself to use the present browser, Opera or even UC browser is much better, and PDF readers have always been bad on symbian devices..being bundled with Quickoffice, I dont expect too much of an improvement in that either. But like you said..there arent too many cons to live with in the C7. Cheers.

Hi friends..
Just a small review for people who want to know about the dis-advantages of this phone. Let's begin now..
I haven't found any major disadvantages though, small ones are accptable as well as inevitable, to be honest.
1. PDF reader (quick office LE 2.5):
I found that somehow, whenever I open a PDF file, it lags while scrolling, zooming and panning. Moreover, there could have been a Pinch Zoom option here.
May be, a later firmware update should rectify this one.
2. The "Full-Focus" Camera:
Nokia C7 has an 8Mpx camera, sounds cool, but HEY!! It's not autofocus, but fixed. Not that it's poor in imaging quality, but you'll anyhow not get great images indoors, even if you have ample light. The pics taken in the dark, with only the flash, are even inferior than a 5Mpx autofocus w/ flash.
Video quality, and outdoor photos (in day-light) are simply outstanding though. Really awesome, to say the least.
3. Old Web Browser:
Yeah, you can't get away with this browser anymore Symbian. You've gotta get a move on here. The web browser is very old indeed. You wouldn't feel the Symbian^3 power while surfing. Although, the Wi-Fi & 3G connectivity is fast, the browser may spoil the fun for you. But again, it's nothing that a Software Update can't fix. We've always had updates coming in at fairly regular intervals from Nokia. Just don't keep us waiting Nokia People. :)
So, as I stated, I haven't found anything major to crib about. The device is really stable, feature-rich and I don't find any other Cons that I can tell you about at the moment.
Just hoping we get the Firmware Updates soon enough to make up for these hand-picked issues. :)

I bought my Nokia C7 on Jan 14. Till last week, it was working fine. Now there is a problem in texting. if you are typing some long word like "accommodation", "Electronics etc... the message window get closed in a second. I will have to type the whole message again. I put a complaint and waiting for the reply. Anybody got some solution? Using the latest phone software.

Latest price of nokia c7 in my place is 15800 INR. Gosh....it was 18k a couple of weeks ago. Good, I now can get a 16gb and an USB OTG cable under my previously assumed price of 18k. Usb otg cable is worth 400 inr.
Oh btw, prices of all nokia phones including the S^3 ones will increase by 4% after monday. So this is the lowest price ever.

guys help me.i bought a new nokia c7 1week ago.and iam having problems with my contacts.sim and phone contacts are displaying in the same line in my contacts application.even i set the option contacts to display tophone memory.what should i do?

Have you ever had a hands-on on this phone?
If you had, then you ruddy well wouldn't say "Androids user experience is much better" !!
User Interface is one thing, User Experience is, by far, another !!!
You say hardware doesn't matter, eh?
All those sub-20k Android cheapsters have got snail-like processors which aren't capable of handling the bloody OS !
I got rid of an HTC Wildfire within a week. Got pissed with the slow speed and such a complicated, and unstable OS.
You think Users will have a better Experience (MARK MY WORDS SILLY BOY) on a UI that slows down after you run 2-3 apps simultaneously.?
Grab a Nokia C7, if anyone is willing to lend you one, and test the multi-tasking on it.
Run 3 HD games simultaneously, and if it hangs or crashes or even slows down, take my C7 for free.
Mind you, hardware does matter, and OS stability is what users expect.
Android's a new born baby, it may take time to mature and stabilize, till then it would be blown-off by Intel's MeeGo.
Talking about sales, 90% of the buyers wouldn't know what the difference between a phone and a Smartphone is. Being able to play with a Talking Tom, or set-up customisable screens with some playful apps is all what people like you get satisfied with.
We don't need toys, we need hand phones..
Hand phones, that are capable of handling real business, fast processing, stability, better connectivity and most of all, BETTER HARDWARE !!
