DKU 2 works? but nokia official site says only abt CA cable but for N70 and 6680 they reffer both ca & dku????? why so?????

u need to flash it 2 regain e50 full speed as fast as new, but u will lost all ur data, make back up first.

u can try connect ur phone to pc with dku2, if okay, that it could. Why not update f/w on air via gprs?
Try find office suite at www.dotsis.com, u can edit document with it.

Hi,
I have been using E50 for last 10-months. Its a great phone. Sometime it hangs like once a month. I have loaded some application like widgets, Golf pro & reuters also have 1GB card.
It seems that the cell software is getting slow.
Can anyone help me to get the same speed as is has when it was new?

i'm Anthony and i have been using this phone for 1 month. Can anybody tell me which application can be used to edit office documents.my quick office version is old? can i upgrade the firmware by using DKU-2(6680) usb cable?

Nope...
There is 18 symbian aplication on my e50, and work fine.
Never restart and never hang so far.
This phone not like n70 (or earlier s60 phone) which is so unstable.

telling every1 ,
all symbian OS phone will must be hang if u d'load more app/software or use HC memory card.
so use java version nokia 2 avoid hanging problem.(but u can't arrange java as ur wish,coz every symbian set is almost a mini PC which can be arrange as ur wish).still now i've d'loaded 3000 software in my E50 avoiding hanging problem.

Forget to mention, this phone worth buying with its price.
But if u have more money, i recomended e50 little brother, nokia e51.
Plan to buy e51 too...

Hey raj...,
Sound of this phone just average, and for phone with mono speaker i think its alright.
Font size just fine with me, but too small for some people. There is a way to enlarge the font with an application.
After 14 month using this phone, not once this phone hang, its amazing coz my sister phone (nokia n70) hang a lot. But there is a report that some e50 users experience hang on his phone.
That is my opinion, feel free to ask again bro...

1-->> Sound (ringtone,mp3 player) compare with any another phone..
2-->> Font Size (message,web) how ???
3-->> Hank & Restart problem how ???

To run the mp3 player in background just push the Menu button and open the other application. Sometimes the excess of ram wont allow it,
for example, when I play Tetris, I first load the game, switch to the Menu, open mp3 player, switch BACK to the Menu and continue on Tetris.
3rd party applications DO work in this cellphone and they are GREAT, I have movie playback application, better mp3 player, and many others!

U right, this phone is slow (but faster than s60v2 handset), so i'm gonna get E51
