E50 is same as all symbians very slow, because all third party sofware includ Themes is of older version v2 so its all MAD app manager does not show most of them its imposible to remove them and strangely them r removed auto ad cannot be installed again unless you hard format the cell.I have done it many time for small pains, which is itself senseless. We should stick yo registered themes and software,Idlying its uses 18-20 MB of phone memory thats strange. These problems will persist until we end users dont STOP buying Symbian OS cells./////

Will someone tell me why it hangs? I have encountered at least half-a-dozen instances (in the last month since I bought the phone) of the phone displaying 'Caller calling...'. And it is also difficult to switch off/on. I have updated the memory with a 512 SD card. The phone also switches to the headphone or speaker mode too often without any prompting.

Hi,
I am on Airtel in India and just bought the E-50 Black. When I turn the "Cell Info" option ON in the phone settings, nothing is displayed when I go back to the main status screen. It should ideally show me the location where I am - anyone facing this issue? Is it a known issue? If yes, what's the workaround? Thanks in advance..

I almost have this phone for a month. The Metal casing is very prone to scratches. Since it is not yet popular to the market, I cannot find silicon or jewel cases yet. I have experienced a phone call that lasted for an estimated 5 minutes and I suddenly stopped the conversation because my phone became so hot to touch because the metal casing is a very good conductor of heat. I will try again next time and see if it will still heat up. So far, I'm satisfied with the battery life. When installing themes, some of the themes cannot be uninstalled because they don't show up in the application manager. There are a lot of hidden folders that can't be accessed by file managers. They need to be manually removed using a card reader. The application structure of the s60 2nd ed is very different to this 3rd ed because filenames are named with no connection to a certain application so you will have to guess which theme or application file are you going to delete. The filenames are named generally like a bunch of zeroes and letters. The power button just got on my nerves when I have founded out that the silver part in that area is not metal but something like cheap silver-painted fabric that was puctured by my hand nail when I turn it on. The silver paint will peel off and it's just ugly in that part but that's alright, I can't do anything yet with it until this phone gains more popularity. I just did not say the other good features because it's already stated in the specs. Most of them are true and I just stated the problems that I encounter.

Official memory supported by this phone is 1GB but guys from Poland use 2GB. J have 1 GB memory Kingston and works well. 2 GB memory its to big and to slow work. Some fon's work wery slowe if use 2GB card but j dont know why. Propably access memory must be optimiztion on soft.Well, E50 is official optimized to 1 GB j think so
