Recebtly I bought one new E50. After using Nokia 6310i for several year I tried my hand on some modles but was forced back to 6310i. E50 is good business piece but if text size is bit big and a radio and repet alarm is included nothing like that.

can anyone tell me something about the quality of the camera, is it the same as the 6230i?

Thank you all about the insights for this phone, there were lots of usefull hints. The freeware autolock for 3rd generation symbian works superb on this phone, and overall the phone is great.
The message text is small but my sight is thankfully good so it doesn't bother me. Everyone who has second thoughts about buying this phone go ahead, for that price it is a steal.

How can I increase the font size of the messages & contacts on this phone ?!?!

I wonder if Sonthi Boonyaratglin has an E50?!?!? Maybe he might use this phone as a detonator, due to the fact that it is a crap phone and he is a knob!
Thailand was fine the way it was!!!

The situation here is not that bad. People still go to work, shopping, seeing movies, and even taking a photo with the tanks!.

been using it for over a week in Thailand.
Only drawback which could not be solved now is the military have confiscated it and said i can have a new one in 2 weeks.

Only drawback which could not be solved now is the font size is very small for my age.
Have flight mode under "Offline" profile.
Have autolock function under security menu. You can set duration before autolock However, you have to press security code to unlock it. If you wish to have a simple unlock, download Autolock freeware.
The e-mail, web browser, wap browser, RSS reader are fantastic. Though, I download freeware Mobipocket to read RSS feed. Can set auto mail retrieved, great.
E50 has two browser, one for web (Web function), the other for wap (Service function). So far I can access many web/wap sites without problem, pretty fast download (GPRS).
Love this phone, trying not to carry my Palm Tungsten E later on.

yes. it has got a message reader tool which will read out messages. you can install one of the many voices that are provided in the CD.

does this phone have a txt to speech capability like 5500?so it can read out SMS..coz one review says it has..anyone, tnx..

Thats great phone all the features r good but the text size is very small
resolution is good
Battery timing is good
connectivity is fine speeds also fine but No Fm no stero handsfree Simple VGA camera no automatic keypad lock but i like it very much thats very pretty very handy

Have now used the NOkia E50 for a few weeks, fantastic experience. At first, I did have some hesitations to the product, though after using it - I feel it is one of the best business products available on the handset side. BlackBerry, Sync all the features required. Love it.

I boat my E50, its OK !! But can help me some body, which is the voice key, unfortunatelly I couldn't identifie using User guide. Also I would very happy If I could improve the growth of letter on screen.

This phone has been out in Egypt for about 2-3 weeks now.
I'm undecided on whether i should get it or not. I've read plaenty of user opinions...but isnt GSMArena planning to write a review on it??? I think its over due.
Can anyone suggest any other websites that have reviewed this phone?

This model does not have an auto keypad lock. But you can download autolock from internet as a symbian tool. It is for Symbian S6o 3d edition phones, but I don't know if it works. And btw I don't have this phone because it doesn't have a radio

Nice fone with camera option but no fm and wifi not interesting. Because i already have nokia e61 and i am completely satisfied with it. I think no need in e series after if you have e61. But if launch nokia e61 with 2mp camera, fm and stereo bluetooth..........amazing.........
