        mar1, 11 Dec 2008i want to know how many Missed calls and received calls it ... morehi mar1,just go to logs and you should be able to see,recieved calls, dailed numbers and missed calls.also you can save numbers from there too and also dail them too. i love my e51....

          Whats the antenna like on this phone? aka does it pick up reception well? Also whats it like for calls? decent sound on its talking speakers?

            i have a problem with my e51.i can't install themes in my phone.every time i try to install themes it says expired certificate.what can i do????

              my criteria to choose a phone was:

              1) a very detailed & long call logs (not 30 or 50, but really longer)

              Answer) there are very few cells which give you that, E51 is one of them. You get every detail in the log for maximum 30 days. And this includes Voice/Video call/SMS/MMS/WLAN. It also gives you filter options to see the incoming/outgoing or calls from specific number only.

              2) should be small & thin (less than 100 grams)

              Answer) hmmm, now thats a problem with most smartphones which have detailed call logs ;) I checked the whole gsmarena [.] com with all the phones, but I came with very few options. Majority of them come in the 125-150 grams range and are really bulky to carry in the first place. E51 fits the bill. It is an exact 100g.

              3) i need a radio

              Answer) i was fed up with smart phones not having radio, especially my bberry. you will find a lot of phones with radio. but then, they dont have the above 2 requirements. E51 has a visual radio (its the same thing as a radio, nothing much to worry about). I selected all the stations manually or through scanning them with just a headset & no net connection required. It works.

              4) it should look elegant

              Answer) E51 couldnt make it more easier. Stainless steel cover. And get a full black cover, you just got style in your hands, the gentlemans style.

              Now, going by the above 4 requirements; I ended up having very very few options:

              1) Nokia E51 - 100g - 2 mpxl - 115 x 46 x 12 (cant get thinner than this one)
              2) Nokia 6220 classic - 90g - 5 mpxl - 108 x 47 x 15 (nice, very nice. was gonna take this one, but the plastic keys spoilt the show)
              3) Sony Ericsson G900 - 99g - 5 mpxl - 106 x 49 x 13 (price didnt look appealing)
              4) Nokia 6120 classic - 89g - 2 mpxl - 105 x 46 x 15 (nice and simple, not much elegance)
              5) Sony Ericsson G700 - 99g - 3 mpxl - 106 x 49 x 13 (good, but didnt find one)
              6) Nokia 5320 XpressMusic - 90g - 2 mpxl - 108 x 46 x 15 (really bad buttons)
              7) Nokia N78 - 102g 3 mpxl - 113 x 49 x 15 (didnt bother)

              NEGATIVES:

              - coming from the QWERTY keyboard of bberry, i dont appreciate using the T9 pad for sending emails.
              - if you have cold in the morning, the stailess steel wont give you warmth ;)
              - cant charge the phone with the mini-USB it has for data transfer
              - the volume button on the side is a bit difficult to press, but youll get used to it if you know where to use your thumb.

              I wanted this to be by second phone to go with. I am using my bberry & will also keep the E51 for personal use. I just bought it yesterday after researching on it for about 4 days.

              I really appreciate this website & friends like you (yes, you too!!) for sharing your honest opinions & making life easier for us to make informed decisions.

                  e51 is voip ready,right? can somebody help me how to register it or how to activate that? can u enumerate the things-to-do so i could use it? pls.thanks..

                    Hello...

                    I have these strange queries, please help me...

                    1) Does the phone shows any symbol or is there any way to find out that whether I'm in Home Network or Roaming?
                    (Except scanning for Available N/W s)

                    Cause many times I have to go on the border area of the state where the Network switches to Roaming and it becomes difficult to ensure whether I'm on Home Network or Roaming and so I hesitate making calls at that time.

                    2) Can I change shortcut for the button provided on the left for recording purpose to some other application.

                      when I browse the internet wether using WLAN or mobile internet... I cannot view the webpage shortcuts & cannot also see anything written on buttons like SEARCH or Next. Could anyone tell me how to fix this error?

                        hi mar1 it carries a detailed list of missed received and dialed calls for up to 30days so in essence you could see the call you made on the 1st of the month all the to the end of the month

I would like to add, ... moreThanks for your opinion, actually i tried removing battery and pressing power key.it only actually restarts the phone.after this i tried the retry button,it also showed minutes remaining 15 for abot 25 minutes then the same battery removal window appears.
                              i jus dont know what to do.i will try more.
                              except this E51 is the best phone for sure.thanks for all ur concern.

                                    I would like to add, it happens with me too...
                                    Like it asks for removing battery and all...
                                    But when you follow these instructions you will se software gets installed... like whatever it asks...
                                    I think it is part of the process...

                                    Earlier I also used to get terrified, thinking there is some problem in my USB or phone... But it does restart the phn and disconnects it...

                                    Try installing the software... I hope it will solve your problem :)

                                        The battery used in the E71 is a MUCH LARGER battery than the E51's battery compartment. There's NO WAY on earth it will fit.
