As promised I will be updating you on how to properly take care of your ever-reliable Nokia E51, and give you some tips and tricks.
Trick A
To have the maximum sound and music experience it is best to use a HS-81 headset as it will give you fine music which will be pleasing to your ear. Unless you want to purchased a more expensive one which will be your discretion.
Trick B
If you want to use the bluetooth connections in an instant. Just try to press and hold the asterisk/star sign for 2 seconds and it will automatically switch itself on.You can also do the same thing in switching it off.
Trick C
You can save 50% of your battery life if you are switch to Dual Mode when you are not exepcting a video call or internet access. It might last up to 3-4 days with regular usage.

viz, 04 Jun 2008Are you stating that there is a GPS in built in the phone???in response to the query. Yes it has a built in GPS and you just need to avail of the latest software either from tom toms or co-pilot. Its not free so set your expectation. Kind regards.

i get a gatway error when trying to surf on a ho... moreyou do not need any special setting to use wireless. search for wireless networks, select the one you want to use out of the list, than select start up browser.
If the network is password protected, you will be asked the password key, enter it, you will be connected. Nothing else to do. Hope it works. success

All your reviews and comments have always helped to get the best phone.
i hv used a fly sx210, htc touch, moto rokre6, SE K790....etc....over the last yr.
The best phone by far is Nokia E51...which i using currently....
The Positive:
-the best feel to hold it in ur hand
- excellent wifi connectivity, and web browsing..... its got a pointer(mouse) that can be contrlled with the d-pad
-very decent sound quality....one of the best in nokia....
-camera OK
-good softwares by nokia....weather forecast n evrythng is excellent
-gr8 inbuilt memory(130mb)
-decent office viewing
- excellent vaue for money
NEGATIVE:
-cannot edit - office docs.
-games are not there( ofcourse u can download them n all)
- the most negative thing is that there are not more negatives abt this phone
One last thing i would like to add......this is the best , cheapest phone wid wifi....etc.
i used a htc touch b4 this one....I WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE IT WAS A WASTE OF MANY AFTER USING THIS PHONE....
GUYS NOKIA IS BACK WITH THESE ESERIES.......

cecew, 03 Jun 2008my phone is blocked. i just deleted a contact this morning ... morelet us try following, remove the battery, swith on the phone without battery. put battery back and try again

Bad on this phone: Nothing really
Good on this phone: almost everything
For me the mobile deserve a 10 for features and performance

i really have a problem w/ my fon. i started using this since february and i dont have any complain. only this morning, i erased a contact and then it says "database have been corrupted". so i put it off. when i turn it on again, it doesnt open anymore. only the word "NOKIA" is always on the screen. its totally blocked. the prob is, this is bought in the philippines and im here in israel. thou theres a warranty on this one but i think i wont be able to avail it.
pls help me on what to do on my phone..

best phone i have owned
only two pet peeves that you should know going into purchasing....
1. usb port is not used as a charger, there is a separate spot for it, right next to it, weird.
2. headphone jack needs an extra connection that is not included, its only like 5 bucks on ebay.
This phone is everything i have ever wanted in a phone. Things that you wouldnt even think of having are in this phone.
My most favorite feature is probably the option of sending a text to the person that is calling you, or rejecting it. If you select send message it will automatically take you to a text template that states "Ill call you later i am..." so cool, something i never even thought of!
Nokia is just a good brand in general, i have done quite a bit of homework, this is the best phone for the price, and it looks really slick and sharp!
I have had this phone for quite awhile now and am nothing but impressed. It truly is the greatest phone that no one knows about!
If you are interested in getting it, i got it at buy.com, free shipping but they run out fast!

Nokoa Guy.........at least trick 4, 5 and 7 are not correct, safe 40% between GSM and 3G......come on. 10 % looks acceptable. I also am Nokia Guy even Finland, clean restrooms there...believe me

Great Phone, I have used from Nokia N70 to N85, but it looks cool and peaceful, works great and easy to carry.
