1. In the power saver mode (screen saver), has three options which are text, time and date and Animations... no option to turn it off,please help.
2. When you say turn off sleep mode (active standby), the screen will show nothing, right?
3. Anything else?

Well i don't do much to conserve the power of my battery. but i did the initial charge properly and i have turned off all unnecessary features like screen saver etc.
i read that turning off the sleep mode makes the battery lasts long and to find out it turns out to be true. this may sound strange but it is true. can't remember where i read it. other than that there's nothing else i do to save my battery.

Can anyone tell me if the font size on the E51 is larger than that on the E50, which is too small for me to read.

i had the same doubts before buying my phone, i was really undecided between the n82 and e51! you have to consider that the n82 has more than n82: gps, tv-out, n-gage, 5 megapixel camera with xenon flash and more ram. the rest is pretty much the same. when i came to decide i realised that i was willing to pay a cheaper price and get the e51 since you would not expect such a compact slim sleek nice phone to have sooooo much features at a fair price. i have the black e51 and its great, the only thing is that it has a poor camera. on the other hand, the keys are lovely unlike the thin keys on the n82
the final choice is yours? is the price difference between the e51 and n82 worth the added features? i guess the answer lies on what use you are going to make of your phone.

Hi ! you cant directly download skype on to the E51, but you can download a software called Fring !!
It supports Yahoo messenger, skype, Google talk, MSN messenger and many more.
It shows all your contacts from all these IM platforms.

In one of the reviews I read that the headset supplied with 5700 works great with the e51..
Why dont u try stereo bluetooth headset..

I got the e51 just day before yesterday...and am in love with it..awesome processor.so faaast the device is..ran all benchmarking softwares and i was amazed..
to Ali H: change the A/V synch option/settings in Divx player to 0.30secs and your problem will be solved..

I'm going to buy a replacement phone for my 4-years old and 'sick' 6600 in next few weeks. After comparing several nokia phones, I came up with E51 and N73 ME, and also N81 and N82 (both exceed my budget, but it's okay).
E51 and N73ME, both are interesting. E51, come with faster processor, more internal memory and ram, and more connectivity than N73.. E51, as business phone, I think it'll have less multimedia power than N73ME.
E51 and N81, both has same processor, E51 has lower price, but much lower multimedia power. I haven't tried slide-type phones, so I prefer E51. But N81 has gaming ability! I like games, so... Still, I can't decide.
E51 and N82. Actually, they are in different level. E51 price is almost half of N82 price. N82 has GPS, I love it, More ram and multimedia abilities, nice camera, etc. N82 is quite thick, I think. And also, I don't really like it's keypad.
In the end, the duel left me, E51 and N82. I can give up on N81 gaming. N82 already overcome N73ME.
I want my new phone to have HSDPA, Wi-Fi, fast response. Camera, GPS, Music is almost optional. Also, I rarely change my phone, so I also want a versatile and durable phone like 6600 (Even after 4 years, mine is very nice, but with many error message and slow response).
So, should I choose E51 or N82. I myself prefer E51, but my colleague encourge me with N82.

Help me,
I cant insert the wep code 4 wifi, i.m sure my wep code is right, but invalid wep always appear, the wep code is 6 digits code, but i think my phone only suport 5 digits...

i really like this cell .. but i don'y want to lose the elegantly of the classic for this

The phone has a few glitches. It stops browsing for no reason and it also stops vibrating for no reason. It tells me internet server not found when i try to connect to a wireless lan. What can i do to improve its productivity?

Guys I used the nokia multimedia converter to convert my avi files to mp4
but each time is stops converting at the end and stays like this forever
how can i play my avi files on e51? i tried DIVX and smart movie player and both are slow..there is a big delay between the words and the video itself

as am normally in travel so i need to have a good internet browsing phone i.e. e51 (even with a small screen). But how is the music quality of the e51. Music is the 2nd cocern for me after the gprs and edge
For my knowledge i want to ask how much difference there in speed between a phone having gprs, edge class 10 and a phone having gprs, edge class 32

Hi Winura,
I understand that your battery last longer .... Just want to know, besides the power for WIfi access set lower and your first time charge longer... what else you do regularly? like turn off the phone when you sleep, each time you charge the battery, do you charge longer than indicator saying it is charging complete, or may be something else????

I have not received my E51 yet, but I was wondering about using Skype on it. How is this done? Where do you do for downloading the different programs for it? Any information for the new user to this phone would be helpful. I have already had a Nokia phone before so I already know about Nokia suite. Thanks

Anyone knows how to add other language support to this phone? Mine came with English, Chinese, Indonesian. Someone told me that there is a way to add others like French, German, Spanish.

i just bought my e51 when i try connecting tru wlan, my router was detected, i entered my wep key then while browsing always telling no gateway reply.. can somebody tell me how

2) To the person whose phone restarts with GPRS: No, it did not occur with me at all, I don't have any idea why your phone behaves like that?
3) To Sunny,
It is your choice depending on what you need: N82 is superb in both speed (90 MB Ram free compared with 50 MB in E51 and 12 MB in n73) and multimedia functions BUT also in price. If you want to pay less, you have to choose between a fast phone, more pwerful in connectivety, newer symbian edition, and less problems like hanging (E51), OR the 3.2 MP camera with flash, autofocus and optics (multimedia functions).

dear all E51 users,
I've to buy anew phone in India and I'm seriously considering the E51 or Nokia N73Music edition. I would like to know ur opinion about the Fm player and Music player in E51. Is the sound quality good enough? Moreover, is there a connector provided with the phone for using 3.5 mm headphones. i'm looking to increase the music quality by investing in a good third party stereo headphones if the connector is there.
