Sorry for double post. There is an application named Wefi. I am going to test it. What it does: It searches for hotspots and connect to them automatically. I will post my reviews if the application works!

      First of all let me say this...some people experience different glitches with the same firmware.

      Ever since I upgraded to 400.34.011, sometimes when there's an incoming call and I press the ANSWER KEY, the phone freezes without the call being answered...the ringing stops as if the call has been answered BUT you see, for example 'MARY JANE calling' stuck on the screen and the keys become non-function and you either have to do one of two things...take out the battery OR wait until about 30 secs. and then the phone auto-restarts.

      Having said all this, you may want to think twice about upgrading to 400.34.011.

      As I said previously, you may upgrade to 400.34.011 and not experience what I experience OR you may experience the very same problems and even more. It's a 50-50 chance. The choice is yours.

      Let me know the route you decide to take.

          It is the phone! Battery is not so good but the phone survived on the see bottom for 24 hours!!! The battery was disconnected and after some hours sun dray it still works since last July 2009. No joke! WiFi works in distance more than 100m, bluetooth more than 12, 3G is stronger and never crash the software. Easy to reinstall new versions, MAPS - shows your locatinon to the mobile cell antenna, Quickoffice Premier 2007- edit MS Documents, VoIP, Worldmate, Wireless presenter, Radio, Media Player, Camera,e-mail exchange client, memory stick up to 4 GB ... what u can need more ???!!! It is phone designed for high duty exploatation that is absolutely RELIABLE and DURABLE.

              So, my E51 battery last 2 days if I use 3 to 4 hours of wifi, a few sms, a few minutes calls, 1 to 2 hours of online radio per day(This is my normal usage mode). I also been able to test it to the extreme. The battery drains in around 5 hours on extreme use. Wifi, online radio, calls..name it..every possible application on..Now, I am on moderate use mode.(1 to 2 hours of wifi, no online radio, a few sms, no calls).After 24hours, I have 6 out of 7 battery bars..I will post the results after the battery drains completely..And yeah, I have to clean it everyday(fingerprints).

                  Eversince i bought my e51, it had been hanging all day long even trying to sent a message also hang...
                  i bring it to the service centre and the people keep say it's software problem once update it will be fine...
                  i believe them... @ the third time they say this again... so who am i going to believe again?

                    Thanks a million for your tips, my E51 is working very very very well and faster than beforeI have restored all my files from my memory card. Indeed the internal has expanded coz I used step two. Like you advised I have un-installed the antivirus. Thanks so very much for your prompt assistance.

                        hi, i had this e51 for morethan a year but it was unfortunate that i had an accident w/ my unit, i'm thinkin of buying the same one until i saw nokia's e52 and e66. i love e51 so much but i wanted to get an upgraded version w/ it's 3g video calling in front of the phone. but i'm really confused now. there are bad reviews about e66, i was leaning to get it base on the specs posted in this site but after reading thereviews, it makes me think twice again. help!!! is it really better to buy the e66 or stay w/ the smart and reliable e51?

                            To EVERYONE:

                            For the first time yesterday I suffered data corruption on my memory card while shooting a video with my E51.

                            I was shooting a video and as soon as I stopped it and went to check it out, to my surprise the GALLERY was blank. I checked the memory capacity and I saw where memory was being used up...1.86GB was being used out of my 8GB Transcend Class 6 SDHC memory card.

                            Nothing I tried would get the data to show on the card, ejecting and reinserting the card while the phone was on, turning off the phone and turning it back on, starting up the phone without the memory card then installing the memory card after the phone boot up...nothing worked.

                            I decided to connect the phone to my WinXP PC using MASS STORAGE MODE and I still didn't see the data on the card. I used the ERROR CHECKER and it found the data and treated it as lost clusters so it converted the data as recovered files in the format FILE000.CHK, FILE001.CHK etc. In all it found a total of 5,897 files and each file represents data that was on the memory card whether it be a photo, video, song, ringtone, text message, game, application, recording...you name it. I used my memory card for everything including text messages which in this case will be impossible to get back because all the sms would have been stored in a special file and that file would have a special extension which I honestly don't know, furthermore that special file which stores the sms would have been stored in one of those system folders like PRIVATE and that I didn't even take time to study so unless somebody can help out here all my text messages are gone down the drain.

                            Some of the files are fairly easy to figure out, like one of the FILE001.CHK files report a data size of 72MB which I knew right off the hat to be a video I shot of a friend so all I needed to do was change the .CHK to .MP4 and the file is converted back to the video and working perfectly once again.

                            The problem is the whole procedure is hectic, just think about going through nearly 6,000 files just to get back stuff that you want to keep memories of.

                            My advice to you all is to backup your data on your PC from time to time as data corruption can happen anytime on a memory card.

                            In my case I don't know if it was the phone's fault or the memory card fault but something triggered off the corruption and I may never find out the reason why.

I bought new, and... moreI just got the phone yesterday.I let the battery to fully drain itself and I charged it fully while the mobile was off.I switch it on yesterday night around 23.00. And It is 14.30 over here and I have still full charge despite the phone being connected to the Wlan the whole night.
                              I have finally made the Wlan to work..

                                Do not have a problem with the batteries? I bought new, and not worth .. phone's battery discharge quickly, I do not know what the problem is?

                                  I was just anticipated to get my hands on dis phone by saturday. D way u guyz talk about dis e51 really amused me. Right now i'm using e65 but i 'll get my e51 dis weekend God willing

                                    Here is the first problem.I can't use the Wlan..
                                    I can detect the wifi..100% strength..NO wep key nothing..But it gives me errors every time..Unable to connect to Wlan..I read on the net..and saw that everyone complaining about that..How do I make my mobile connect to my router?I have orange livebox.

                                      I have received my E51 today.The first impression was WOOOW..THis phone is awesome..I will take me some days to get used to it since I used Motorola phones since the last 3 to 4 years.

                                      Should I install an anti virus?And if there any way to remove the camera shutter tone?
