pls dazzle help me r, 27 Jul 2009pls help me in this case .//my e51 's camera is not workin ... morewhat you mean your camera is not working properly? in picture ways or sound? if it is sound it wont be a ear piece its a ringer you might need mate is your ringtones low?

Original_Jamaican, 27 Jul 2009To DAZZLE_MPS: Please tell me the secret to getting the ... morehi ya the sercet i found out with my phone was i took the front cover off and you see where the earpiece bit is at the top of the front cover i pierced 2little hole with a needle and it work let me no how you get on. you could try it with the cover on but you might bust the mic the safer way is taking the front cover off

To JWD:
I must apologise but something I said the other day was inaccurate. The person didn't say my E51's earpiece speaker fell out, he said his budphone's speaker fell out. I misinterpreted what he said. He did however, say that my E51's earpiece sounded lower than normal.
What I accurately saw though was someone from another forum saying they got a replacement earpiece speaker for their E51 and it didn't fix the low speaker volume.
Keep me posted about your situation.

hi ya wdc? i got a nokia e51 have a month now hated it at first cause i had a n82 and changed it to e51 1st i had probs cause the earpiece was very low but i sorted it now it wil blow the ear of you now lol brill phone now in every way brill battery 4m the n82 i had to charge every day and with the e51 ever 3days loving it any body havin probs with earpiece reply to me and i wil tell you the secret

Hello all E51 users! I am wondering what do i do to make free overseas calls. Is it internet calls?What's the most dummy proof method as i just upgraded my basic phone to this ( a few weeks back) and a little oblivious as to what goodies it can do (esp for free). Please advice. I am also missing the 'send to many' options for text messages. And when replying smses, it does not have option to use 'original text'. Please help and thanks in advance.

The only diff between e51 and E71 is not the loudspeaker!!! correct urself. The e71 has a qwerty keyboard,3.2 mp cam with flash,latest symbian which is super fast,it is much newer then e51 ,E51 is a big outdated now , a wayyy better battery timing!! anda bigger screen! amazing music play back timings too!!!

Thanks for your reply. I went to the nokia store but they said that i have to leave the phone for one week then they will call me and tell me the cost. and my phone is out of warranty already. I realy like my phone, as you said that it has every thing. I connect it to my car to listen the music, no need to burn cd's anymore. I use fring using wifi to make international calls. I have tomtom installed for navigation plus many games and apps. its handy, small in size, light waight. so it has every thing. new nokia phones are really nice but they are very expensive. so at this point i m not planning to upgarde my phone. but i need to get it fixed asap.

Even though the E51 doesn't have a front camera it's still possible to make video calls. You will see the person on your screen but they won't see you UNLESS you turn the phone around and point the camera to your face.
A front camera is NOT crucial for video conferencing to work.

tax, 22 Jul 2009i have E65 can i upgrade to E51 or its a degrade ?The specs are pretty close. Make a comparison and see what aspect is more important to you. E65 has a 950 mAh battery, there is a mistake where is written 1000 mAh.

I also don't want to change my E51. I love it with a passion as it has every feature a human being could ask for. It's the most feature rich phone I ever came across in such a small size.
I don't know the cost of the earpiece speaker's price as I am not the one who purchased the part. I will find out for you and tell you a bit later. A friend of mine has an E71 and he wanted me to update his firmware for him as he's not a techie like I am. We switched phones so he has my E51. Shortly after he got it, the volume got badly low and he told me that the earpiece also fell out. I don't know how that could happen but that's what he said. It's in his hands now and he's the one doing everything to get my E51 back to normal. I have his E71 using in the meantime.
I wanted the E71 badly during the Christmas season but somehow after using the E71, I prefer my E51 due to various reasons. The only thing the E71 have over the E51 is louder ringing volume and hands free loudspeaker volume.
This article I'm about to show you is not about the E51 but this problem seems similar to that of our E51.
Many people with the Nokia 5800 touch screen phone complains about an earpiece problem as well. They say sometimes when on a call it fluctuates getting really low, then high and sometimes it just goes dead and never works again. Check it out, it may help all E51 users with their problem.
