      Hello,

I'd like to ask whether or not do you guys find that it lags at the menus or browser?

      GSMarena's review seems a little optimistic =\

I've tried one display set at the Nokia store itself but once again those can't be trusted because you don't know what the staff has done to it...

any comments? :D deciding whether to get this or E72

As far as I could see it's one of the best handset from Nokia. Nokia's hardware is the best that can last longer. It has got all the features, good design etc. Compared to the price, iPhone is nothing. There may be thousands of Android applications out there. But how many of them is useful. Thousands of creepy applications out there in the android market do not make a good handset or good OS. There're loads of enough useful applications for nokia smartphones. Symbian, iOS, Android etc are like apple, orange, mango etc. Each of them has its own qualities, its own advantages or maybe some disadvantage.

Nokia made a great point in saying that they didn't choose Android because they didn't want the 'Nokia' brand to get lost with all the other Android devices.

Think about it my friends the exclusivity of operating systems are going through the window because of Android.

Before Android, whenever you thought of a Nokia smartphone 'Symbian' immediately came to mind, whenever you thought about a Motorola smartphone 'Linux' came to mind, whenever you thought about a HTC smartphone 'Windows Mobile' came to mind and the list goes on.

If every phone manufacturer uses Android then what competition will there be? If all phones should use Android then the marketplace will be a boring one because you are basically using the same phone with the only difference being the brand.

One more thing, Symbian doesn't require much power as Android which means that with a 600Mhz/680 CPU, Nokia can achieve the same performance as a 1Ghz CPU used in Android phones. You pay less for a 600/680Mhz CPU which makes the consumer happy...not to mention a 600/680MHZ CPU consumes less battery than a 1GHz processor.

Where smartphones are concerned phones like the E71 and E6 are the pinnacle of what Nokia stands for. As it is now, Nokia is making a statement with it's summer release of the E6.

I want ALL you commenters here on GSMArena to think about everything I said. Have a nice day one and all.

              Nicely said my friend.

What you said about the complexity of mobiles these days are true and Nokia still finds a way to stick to simplicity...yet very effective neverthless.

I'm tired of hearing about Android and though I'm yet to check out an Android phone I believe it's overhyped.

I have been using Nokias since 3310 days and liked Nokia very much. When I got the legendary 6230 which Nokia slated as 'Precision' my like for Nokia changed and instead I fell in love with Nokia (smile).

A Nokia representative said that for technology to be a success it has to be simple for the user to understand and Nokia have always found a way to make their advanced technology to be simple to understand. Many kudos to Nokia.

As I have said before, Nokia makes the most reliable and practical phones and as long as they are in existence I don't think that will ever change.

bought nokia e6 last month...but couldnt understand why people are finding so many problems...i think everyone is expecting more than a mobile phone...i agree with my friend that mobiles were a lot more convinent in times of nokia n73,6600,7610,e51..evrything was simple and dynamic...but todays mobile phones are extremely complicated..mobiles are now being made as commuters rather than just a means of communication..
android os may be very efficient and superfast but truth is they are more complicated, more erronious, complex and overhyped...i still dont understand why people need more than a couple homescreens with 10000s of application which are just a means of making ur phone more difficult and complicated to follow...i dont understand why people are losing patience to wait for blink of eye while operating and require dual core processors to be fast..i mean how fast do u people want a mobile phone to be...
but nevertheless its my opinion...i have always taken mobiles as a means of communication more than its other multimedia facilities....i love nokia and i am sure nokia will still be simple and beautiful...

nokia 4 life, 15 Jul 2011the all are jealouing . because still nokia on the top :-) ... moreI guess there are some people who are either Nokia haters for life and just keep criticizing Nokia OR some of the critics are paid by dealers or distributors (if not the manufacturers themselves) of competing brands to do demolition jobs to give Nokia a bad name in user opinions or reviews in an attempt to turn off potential buyers into going for another brand.

Well, I own a Nokia E6. Almost a month now. I have no problems with it. After coming off the N73, the Qwerty phone plus touch screen is something I needed to get used to and learn for a while. And now that I have gotten used to it, everything, and I mean everything works great. The camera might not be the best but I have a Canon digital camera for good pictures. The E6 camera is only if I don't have ny Canon with me or if I need to take HD video quickly.

The browser is great but a downloadable Opera Mobile works even greater.

The sound is loud. I have Simple Minds Don't You Forget About Me as a ringtone. And it gets everyone else in the office starting to sing "He-He-He-Hey!" when my E6 rings.

The A-GPS is a lovely feature. And Ovi Maps is free to use too!

It is true though that the notification light is quite weak and is not visible in bright light or even in fluorescent light. But I do check my phone every now and then to see if there are missed calls or SMS and the screen does tell you about missed events, which probably would lessen my need for a notification light.

This is the best business phone Nokia came up with and the battery lasts 2 to 3 days under normal to heavy use on a mixed 2G, 3G or 3.5G network, depending where I am. It's set to work under any of those categories.

And the voice I hear from the other end is quite clear and the earphones work great too.

I have an 8GB memory card with it but be sure to buy at least a Class 4 micro SD card for the HD video to record and save properly. An ordinary Class 2 or unclassified micro SD just won't do because of HD video.

Mine works perfectly. If yours doesn't work properly, go back to the dealer and ask for a replacement or use the warranty...unless you got your E6 from dubious sources...

I own a Nokia E6. And I'm happy with it. Period.

Why r u people arguing with phone manufacturer and OS??? One brand can be good and the other can be bad, but there must be at least two leading manufacturers in race so that they'll try to give us a good service.....

Blackberry is probably the worst of the lot. They are so expensive and yet so fragile. I have known of Blackberrys to stop working after a fall and I know one person who's Blackberry camera stopped working after a fall. Even Nokia's cheapest phone will last forever.

Based on my experiences none of them are as practical, sensible or as reliable as Nokia. It's as simple as that.

You stick to what you like and I will stick to what I like but nobody will be able to change my way of thinking.
