does the accelerometer works with every program in the phone (does rotating phone will rotate the display with every program, eg calendar, internet/gprs, contacts, games etc)?

Nevin, 06 Jul 2008There is no doubt that all new high-end nokia phone like th... moreIm not sure about the sound quality since the phone is not out yet, but about the battery life, the e66 comes with the same battery as the e65 which could go for a good 4 or 5 days. So i expect the e66 to go for at least 3 or 4 days on a single charge.

Nevin, 06 Jul 2008There is no doubt that all new high-end nokia phone like th... moreThe problem is not in the phone, but you may be neeed to switch of using of 3-D Tones, as far the sound you use is not compatible with this function of the phone :_) you may do it via Menu > Media >3-D Tones> 3-D ringing tone effects must me set to OFF ( by default it is on)

There is no doubt that all new high-end nokia phone like this one e66 are equipped with great features but they lack 2 very basic things.
1) Sound quality..i mean..ringtone. Its very low. Can't hear when inside pocket.
2) Battery life: at least you need to charge two times a day.
Whats the point of making all these great phones when you miss all those important calls and phone is dead when you need to make a call.
I am telling this from my experience. I used a couple of nokia phones & very disappointed. Since then I switched to Sony ericsson and never looked back.

Anyone knows if this phone has 2.5 or 2.5mm phono jack input? Specs has no mention on this but I saw E71 dummy with 2.5mm phono jack probably due to its 11mm thickness. E66 is thicker though.

Tsepz, agree with everything except for the mid-range part... When you look at the specs (and the price), it's more like high-end to me! I love the predictive contact dialing (or smsing, emailing etc) directly from home screen

This is going to be quite a Business device. It even has some features from the Nseries devices like the accelerometer and the video recording. :-) nice one NOKIA, its an almost perfect Mid-range business device.

According to the Nokia rep I talked to last week, they are technically released, but their distributor is still shipping units out... they should be getting into the market within a couple weeks...
