Do you really think the companies putting together mobile phones for Nokia will do it any differently for say HTC or Samsung? In fact iphones are assembled in China as well, so far most of the people I know with an iphone 3GS is happy, their phones still work the same as when they got it on launch day. My friends with an HD2 is still happy as well.

Where as the N900 is a multimedia mobile device designed to keep you connected. It has basically push updates to most social networking sites on the go. This is basically the main reason why android uses so much power. Its constantly connecting to servers to check for updates. You say Symbian has the most features? name some features that most other mobile OS don't? Customization? You obviously never heard of jailbreaking an iphone have you?

no doubt android is beating symbian in os race. But just see who companies are using android. . . If you have lots of money and can switch between latest phones fast than you can surely buy a samsung or htc. Nokia gives a reliable product. They gives the best after sales. And now nokia is back in competition. Android may be a good os but it cant make a reliable phone. Its the manufacturer who makes it. Is there any competition for nokia in this race ? If you are a die hard fan of android than wait few more. . . Market is gonna flooded with cheap dirty chinese handsets running on android. And classy fashionista go for nokia, the real phone brand. The brand will speak itself.

More rational individuals look at things like features(symbian in no1), capabilities(symbian), usability(android), customizability(symbian) and battery life(symbian). The iphone is for teenage american girls. Its useless. Its not even a smartphone by definition.

            . . . . . . . .

It takes an imbecile to conclude that a larger battery means longer battery life. My nokia n97 mini lasts twice as long as my n900. The former has a 1200 mah and the latter, the much praised 1500.

disappointed that nokia did not include BP-4L 1500 mAH battery and memory card slot in e7 which are all available in predecessors of the communicator line-up.

I have had many nokia's in the the past and all of them were great. The thing that nokia needs to do is change the os (they should of got palm before hp). iOS, android, palm os and windows 7 are all good os, symbian is out dated! Eye candy is everything now, even Rim plans to change their os to the play book's (that's their new tablet). Nokia doesn't need android but something Fu@king close, YOU CANT HAVE A OS THAT CAN BE USED ON A UNTOUCH SCREEN!!!!
As of now iPhone 4 is king not because of the hardware or software, but it's easy to use. If you thing I'm wrong, tell me 3 reason why. To be the king you have to beat the king and only android is putting up a fight for now.

scorpio, 30 Sep 2010well all are talking about android these days. I like this ... more... I don't know where you're getting your information from. From gsmarena's own samsung section, Samsung only has like 5 Wave(Bada OS) Devices and about ~15 phones running Android. Also besides south korean Samsung isn't even marketing their Bada OS. Reason because for quite some time Android was only US, however Android is world wide now.

Unless you want to carry a portable HDD around with you all day which can be quite heavy you're stuck with microSD, and unless you have USB flash drives that are microUSB rather than regular USB you're stuck as well. If you're gonna be carrying around a portable USB HDD you are most likely gonna be carrying around a laptop. Nokia likes to make nifty features that are really pointless and not functional. Someone mentioned that with USB OTG you can pop in your portable HDD and rearrange files... So you're gonna carry around a heavy USB HDD drive just to rearrange some files around? cool, good for you.

Kooma, 30 Sep 2010Keep dreaming they(Nokia) has 10 billion euros cash in the... more*sigh* i don't even know where to begin. You're either a very good market marketing personnel or a very bad financial assessor. First off, Nokia doesn't have ~10B Euro, by which i think you mean 9.7B to be precise. That is their total cash flow. Their net cash flow was closer to ~5B. This isn't profits though, their profit margin was slightly under 1B Euro, this is values for Q1 2010. So no, Nokia isn't bankruptcy proof, not even in the slightest. In contrast Apple's cash flow for Q1 2010 was 16B, net cash flow was 7.66B, this is more impressive than Nokia considering how much cash apple spends. Maybe you should enroll at your local community college and take a course in business and finances.

omar, 30 Sep 2010excuse me but all the 3 new 8MP phones has only fixed focus... moreThe E7 camera has a feature called Extended Depth of Field (EDoF) instead of auto focus. What EDoF gives you is the ability to focus on both foreground and background objects. For instance, if you are taking a picture of a person with some landmark in the background, autofocus will likely make the person in the foreground in focus while the background landmark is not. EDoF allows both the person in the foreground and the landmark in the background to both be in focus. The limitations of EDoF is that objects about 50cm or closer will not be in focus. Everything from 50cm to infinity will be in focus.

well all are talking about android these days. I like this operating system in htc legend, my friend's. Its a great operating system. But i want to buy a great phone.. Not just a great os. Nokia built quality is superb and trust worthy. Major android handset makers are samsung htc and motorolla. In these samsung makes the worst quality. Htc Lacks after sales and moto also has the same problem. Infact samsung is switching over to its own os bada. Which may indicate that android has limited life time. Now if we talk about applications than if new application is launched in android than same will come on symbian also within a month, Nokia is now really serious about its application development. When you are buying a phone than see the phone also not just os. I like android but cant bet on htc and motorolla. Samsung is worst. Nokia e7 hardware is just great. 16gb memory is disappointing but comparing it with other phones than its ok. It has 680 processor but also has 3d chip and i love this design . Its a beauty. Its a great deal. Not a bet.
