Crystal, 25 Sep 2010Yes it does have it, as indicated in the Nokia website. Thanks for clarifying things. According to Nokia's website you seem to to be right about native VoIP integration(as opposed to an Email which I recently received from a Nokia customer representative, stating that Noka is intent on "only improving its Skype integration".) I guess we'll have to wait and see for ourselves.
Like you, I also like this phone but I do have some understanding for all the people bashing on Nokia for failing to make their recent phones more user friendly and stable...take for example the N97 which was heavily advertised by Nokia before it was even officially released; almost two years later the OS is still laggy and sluggishly unresponsive, causing a lot of freezes and many other undesired actions including system crashes.
I seriously hope that Nokia will make things right this time with the new Symbian3 or Android will eventually destroy Symbian in the long run....

The E7 has full focus, or i.e Enhanced fixed focus. This more than adequate for a business device.

hayato, 25 Sep 2010Less than a day of battery life is not good enough. I re... more... really? Original? Wasn't it Nokia that dissed on apple for not having replaceable batteries? Guess what, Nokia N8 doesn't have an easily replaced battery as well. I don't know about you but I get a full day worth on my Galaxy S, thats with minimal browsing, tethering, and video play. The E71 gets good battery life but thats because you can barely do anything with it, have you seen any reviews with the N8 saying that it gets awesome battery life? So just because Nokia refuses to compete with a competent product they're "not following the crowd"? Seems more like to me that Nokia is merely relying on their brand name status more than originating themselves from everyone else. Guess what, that isn't working, profit numbers show this. If all you need a phone for is to make and receive calls then you have no need for the E7 or the N8, get yourself a Motorola RAZR those have awesome battery life. These phones aren't marketed as simple phones, they're marketed as fully functional mobile media devices with phone capabilities, and for the record the N900 couldn't go a full day without recharge either ;)

Nice try from Nokia but compromised again like many times before:
1. 256 MB RAM,
2. CPU.
Could they finally change this "to much" conservative aproach?

Does anybody know whether the E7 will feature a native VoIP client as it was the case with most of its E-series predecessors (E70, E71, E75, etc.)?
Any comments or replies are highly appreciated.

The biggest issue for this phone will for sure be a small battery that wont be enough for business users. Nokia should place stronger battery, like they did with nokia e72.

OMG those Samsung fannies are giving the E7 and N8 such low votes! Come on people, the nHD screen ,may sound too low, but when you use it you will never notice the diffrence between 360*640 and 480*800. And so what if the E7 doesn't have memory card slot? The HTC HD7 doesn't have one aswell, and that thing on;y has 8gb internal! And the E7 has 768mb additional virtual ram, much more than any other phone on the market. The N900 is SUPER-FAST and it only has a 600mhz processor, imagine what the E7 can do. No autofocus, well yeah that may be abit too much, but remember the E7 IS a business phone...And I bet you that the image quality will be class-leading...despite not having Carl Zeiss optics. The E7 is a excellent phone and it deserves to succeed. People should not judge the phone by what it doesn't have.

ShameOnNokia, 24 Sep 2010And this kids, is a good thing that Daniel does not run any... moreLess than a day of battery life is not good enough.
I really appreciate that other phone manufacturer put 1ghz processors on their device. But until the time comes when they can make a long lasting phone i will stay on choosing the 'good enough' - anodized aluminum casing, usb otg, clear black display, dolby digital, qwerty, quickoffice premium, 12mp(on N8).
I can always have a PC to do the heavy task. I have my phone mainly because i want to make and receive calls and sms 24/7 whenever i need it.
Everyone can follow the trend easily. What makes you think nokia can't do it?
Wait for meego then, meego will set the newer trend, that is mobile computer, with an OS that runs both on mobile and netbooks. That is nokia. They create their own trend. They're more than just a bulk phone manufacturer. They're original.

Stuntman, 22 Sep 2010I think that people who are looking for information know wh... moreStuntman
I want a phone with bigger screen myself with 100% qwerty keyboard. This phone is just 95% qwerty bcoz of the non existence of dedicated number keyboard. You will regret it if you buy it. Keyboard is just like the useless N900 which I ditched few months back. When you buy it, you will wish it has the dedicated number keyboard just like his big brother E90.
Anyways, I am waiting for another phone model to arrive here in my country. Check this out or google it.The phone name is ITG XP Phone. Beautiful keyboard, just like the OQO. 4.8 in screen. It's the only real PC PHONE at this moment. Operating system WINDOW XP EMBEDDED, not Windows Phone 7 or Windows Mobile 6.5.

Y the hell Nokia is not going for android????...
Here they have made a mistake by not giving card slot.... Only internal memory... which can be harmful if phone gets affected by Virus....
Nokia does somthng good but at the end they made something wrong as well....
Learn and Grow Nokia product developers.
