rohit, 15 Aug 2009is there is a diff between the e71 and e75 which one i sho... moreMate if you're gonna choose an E series device for the camera quality and music you're going to make a catastrophic mistake. Try the N series or XpressMusic. Those two are the best for music and camera.

      To be frank, in India we dont have a choice. Whatever comes, goes. So I have not bothered to see if my phone is Korean or Chinese or Pakistani. As long as it works, I am happy. And I am happy with it so far. And I do give a serious thought to the probs and facilities.
      I feel that as the dealer has cheated you once, you should not give him another opportunity. Is he a Nokia dealer? if yes then you can threaten him to behave.

        hi vinayT, i see you are the guru.. pls i got a finnish made e71 before coming to london, getting here and trying to get a sim, i was told the phone has been blacklisted as stolen so i had to return it back.. i immediately wanted a refund so i can buy what i need here but the phone dealer is trying to talk me into buying one that is made in korea cuz that would have guarantee.. what i dont know is if there's any difference and how much btw finland made and korean.. cuz i was told that the RM and other firmware will be different.. i want to know if to bother taking it or sticking to getting my money back..

          I have an E61 and it runs Blackberry Connect beautifully.
          Now I wanted to upgrade to the E71 or E72 and I have doubts about purchasing either one as I dont see how I'm gonna get my Corporate Mail on them. My Corporate mail is provided via a BES server...hence I need Blackberry Connect..I dislike BlackBerry very much both technically and ease of use. I gave away one to a coworker jus because I had my E61.

          With what I am seeing nokia should not have left out Blackberry Connectivity as it provides an in road for them to Corporate persons like myself.

            best phone i ever have. my second phone in E51.all has good battery life,good wireless connection, nice size, metal body, fast app loading/big internal memory, office app,easy to syncronize.I use email a lot and this stuff just worked very well. don't even need my stupid blackberry bAld.BB is f***ing lame

                  hi guys,i have been using this phone for about 4 months .it's a good phone. .for camera and all its not that good. . but it has a real look. .it looks an expensive phone.but most of the people think that its a chinese phone because its silver. .
                  sometimes the camera gets stuck but not all the time. .and the music player is also good its the same as the N82 music player but i dont know about the quality of the N82. .this quality is also ok. .but this doesnt have a 3.5mm audio port. .compared to the nokia N82 i would say that this is better. .because this has a better look but the N82 has a 5MP camera with a xeon flash this only has a 3.2MP camera and a LED flash.N82 is discontinued now.
                  another disadvantage is the keys a very small but you can type with your nails.
                  another thing is you can use the 3G camera only when your taking a video call.cant capture from that.
                  the N82 has two speakers but this has only one. .this phone is good for Email you can get your Gmail account or windows live account onto the phone.and typing is made easy because of the QWERTY key board.
                  and finally i would say that the Nokia E71 is a successive phone.if your for business or Email this is super.but even for music,camera etc its not bad (average).

Here's one pouch value about $20.

                        that is your opinion as per your needs and circumstances which may be different to mine.
                        I dont say E71 is any less than other phones, but, friend, we all are entitled to our likes and dislikes. So, here on this forum we should give an unbiased opinion and let others decide for themselves according to their needs and circumstances.

                          thanks a pile for putting so much value in my comments. the fact remains that E63 and E71 are lookalikes and have little difference. as you already have 5800 the music phone with GPS, i feel that you should go in for E63 as that is a lot cheaper with a bigger memory card capability, 16 GB compared to 8 of E71. Save your hard earned money. If you want to replace the 5800, then go for 71, if you have use for GPS. But you must have an unlimited usage GPRS on these phones to make the best of them. Or 3G if you can afford. You know better. Both have similar RAM. I use five progs in the background with four of them accessing the net 24X7. if you too want to access the net then the small difference in talk time does not matter. Make a choice yourself as you are the best judge of your needs and circumstances. Good Luck to you.

Well last night I re installed the firmware and also formatted my memory card as well incase there was some sort of virus in it...

                                Dear Mr. VinayT.
                                I want to have e71/e63 as my second phone. I have 5800 as my multimedia phone. I want to hear your thoughts about e71/e63. Which one is better in order of look,usability, comfort etc...? Also which one is faster using keypad with t9 or qwerty? The last one, which one your favourite in general,e63 or e71?                                     The disadvantages of having E71 are:
                                    1. You are paying for GPS which not very many use.
                                    2. The screen is small (compared to many other phones).
                                    3. The keypad may not suit you. You may have a mental block about the small size of the phone.
                                    4. You have to have an unlimited usage GPRS connection if you want to make full use of its features.
                                    5. Does not have touch facility.
                                    6. Music is not really good.
                                    7. The camera is not really worth being called 3.15MP.
                                    8.
                                    9.
                                    10.
                                    I can go on. All the points given above can be justified for any phone.
                                    The point is, you know the specs. You know the price. You know what you can use and what you cant. You know your finances. If you like the looks and feel you can use it effectively and can afford it, buy it, if you cant, then look elsewhere.
