I am using Nokia's E61i, which is indeed a delight to use, since I am a heavy email user, It's ideal in all internet aspects, pushing the envelope of what a mobile device is capable of doing "conveniently"
The layout and the size and the specs were perfect for me, only topped by the E90, which even though superior was just abit too big for me, since I need to be able send emails/messages without strictly having to use both hands.
This new E71 is definitely my next mobile phone, since what the E61i is now incapable of, in terms of web-content support, more reliable downloading, and more effecient WLAN connectivity, the E71 could handle with ease, providing the massive specs this mobile has.
More internal memory, perfect for viewing big web-pages, or handling bigger downloads, and attachments. I suspect the built would be just as solid as that of my E61i, and well, Its looks a load better. "Loving the metal details and textures on this baby"
The New Symbian OS 9.3 seems to be a treat, I already used it on the N78, and its simply sensational.
A camera upgrade, even though not required, but definitely a good thing.
Cant wait until it hits the shelves.

Jon, 19 Jun 2008Kamikaze, there are hundrends of options in the market, for... moreJon, i agree that nokia is a market leader wen it comes to mobile web browsing. I would know since i enjoyed web surfing on my last phone, which was the nokia e51. I guess its everyone with their own opinions, what i posted earlier is my opinion and im not trying to get everyone on my side. you think 2.8 in. is needed to enjoy mobile web browsing, i think only 2.0in. is enough with my e51. anyways i agree with matar. in the end, the resolution of the screen also plays an important role in a phone's screen, not only the inches.

Jon, 19 Jun 2008Kamikaze, there are hundrends of options in the market, for... moreI don't understand why 2.8inch matter since the reslution of the screen is 320x240 so you will see the same thing either 2.36inch or 7.0inch screen, the E71 is same as E61i in reslution both are 320x240 except the E71 has better performance in many things and the E61i is good but slow it has very small internal memory about 23MB and the E71 has about 60MB plus higher in speed processor too

Stronger processor will only make the phone more expensive, this ARM 11 freescale 369Mhz processor is a cheap hardware solution from nokia, and S60 doesn't need quite powerful hardware like Xperia X1, Iphone. It's still very fast.

It would have been much better if they had given stronger processor like Blackberry bold (624 mhz),SE X1 Xperia along with in built memory of 8/16 Gb like the N95. Really disappointed especially it doesn't deserve to be the big successor of E61i.

kamikaze, 19 Jun 2008wow i dunno why ppl are soo critical about the smaller scre... moreKamikaze, there are hundrends of options in the market, for smal very stylish WITH SMALL SCREENS if u wish one, the e61i was a oasis in the desert, I am writing this from my e61i , i doubt (from experience) that u could get half of the net browsing experience from a 2.4 srceen.. Is just to small.. a 2.8 is just on the limit, the phone is big so what? There was a market for it, at least i wont change mine for this newer versions that is for shure, yeah the specs are great, realy great, but in the end, i use the phone 50% calls-messaging 40 % net and 10% for all the nice tricks.
They should keep the 2.8 screen, they still could trimm the phone a bit in the sides, and make-it vga, that would be a upgrade from the e 61i, not this crap.
