    hakeem, 27 Nov 2009mine is made by nokia...i even bought it from Nokia Store..... moreMy N97 has "made by nokia" which is made in china and it is ok but the chinese made E72 has only a 192MHz processor instead of the advertised 600MHz processor, I had it confirmed by a nokia dealer today. Unfortunately people in Asia will rush out and buy it not knowing that they have been short changed if it's the made by nokia or made in china models. So my Q to Nokia is WTF????

      I've been let down by E72. All those issues highlighted on techgiraffe is happening to me. I feel so bad for selling my Nokia E 71. :(

      If you are planning on buying an E72, please read the blog at techgiraffe before deciding.. damn you made in china nokia phones... :'(

          Vodafone User (UK), 27 Nov 2009@carr: BBC iPlayer not yet available to download from BBC, ... moreSorry - just double checked - the file you download from there already has "|e72" in it, so should work from the off. Just install the .wgz file with PC Suite.

          For reference, the full code in the js file should look like this:

            @carr: BBC iPlayer not yet available to download from BBC, however, there is a hacked version of iPlayer 1.0 available to download - search for 'Get BBC iPlayer on your Nokia E52' on Noknok.tv.

            1) Download the file 'iplayer_mod.zip', unzip the WGZ file, then open the WGZ file with Winzip.
            2) Extract the folder fully, then look for the file 'app-min.js'.

            3) Open the file with with Notepad.

            4) Search for "|E52" (without quotes)and then add "=|E72" to the list. Now save the file.

            5) Close winzip and install the edited WGZ file with Nokia PC Suite application installer.

            @kaizer: YouTube comes pre-installed, but it is just a link to the Mobile portal. You can download the app via Google Mobile (as well as Google Maps, Google Search and Gmail). Just go to google on your mobile and search for mobile applications.

              I was going mad for this phone, E72. BUT BUT BUT

              After I played a bit I realised that E71 (especially White one) has far far better built quality!

              Also WHITE color E71 has better design in covers and it Shine! :)

              Going for E71 White one :):)

                      Y is it that E72 that released here in dubai is assembled in China? I cheked it out last night in Sharaf DG. It's available also in Jumbo topaz brown color. Any comments from Nokia about this...

I am an European electronic engineer working for an European electronic company without any relation to the mobile industrie. I am living for almost 7 years in China and I am working here in the electronic industry. Please stop this idiote talks about Chinese companies producing less quality products. Of course if we talk about all Chinese electronic products you buy for few euro you right, do not expect quality of these toys as they are produced to work a few weeks. But please realise that products as Sony,Nokia, Motorala....... produced in China are made in ultra modern companies as there are no in Europe and the Chinese engineers are very skilled people as it is hard to find in Europe. Believe me, for brands as Nokia, made in China means at least as good as made in Finland or wherever.

                                Apparently, there are lot more issues with this phone than what we see here... check this out.. and this guy didn't mention some of the issues mentioned here.. probably, he didn't experience those issue... anyways check this out...

I'm still trying to find out if it's true that the made in china are 192 and the made in korea 600??

I won't make the same mistake again this time if I buy the E72 as I did with the N97, I paid far too much when I bought it from Singapore Airport duty free, they charge way too much for phones, Lucky Plaza is good for phones if you are in Singapore and BB plaza in KL.

While it is really difficult to set up the emails & internet connection...when the emails are updating & we're doing multi tasking, processor speed is getting slow...available free ram after booting is only 45MB, after running awhile it is down to 38 MB
