          Now that they have got nothing more they could lose , they should make most peculiar, niche hmd designed phones they have been so afraid to make and sell cz of criticism . Like the ones slides to reveal speaker... The under display cam . What's the worst that can happen ? Nobody buys their Chinese phones anyway , Nokia distanced itself from them , limited 5g processor has slumped Chinese phone sells , buyers embracing new form factors . The time is ripe . There's an old saying an policeman only puts himself to work after he's fired .

          I personally loved few hmd budget made phone like my nokia 4.2 . Really small , amazing display with .2 black level and 1:1500 contrast , stock os . I hated when they gave up small phones started making big boring ones from nokia 5.3 . Made them another generic brand with no taste . Maybe they were forced to make as Google changed ui elements more suited for big phones since Android

            People I switched to Nokia G42 after 8 years of using my iPhone 6 and now i am still trying out new stuff with this phone like a kid in the candy shop.

            So far so good this phone is excellent and my goal is to keep this phone for a long time too, especially when this phone is user friendly to repair so a battery change in the future would not be a problem.
            Very happy with this new phone and I can recommend this device to everyone if you wanna go forward for years with the same phone.

                  HMD Global need to get rid of inventory so this is one way of doing so by releasing several devices with similar components and chipsets, likewise it simplifies the design and manufacturing process and means software updates can be rolled out more easily.

                  You also have to consider economies of scale: HMD are not part of a large conglomerate like BBK, nor are they Samsung who can fab their own chipsets, manufacture their own displays, create their own image sensors etc.

                  It is frustrating that Nokia Mobile are fixated on the low-end of the market, but as a business decision it is probably a necessity.

So no, Nokia is not spamming. Same applies to all "letter + 3 digit" Nokia phones. But I agree that Nokia needs a flagship phone. Hopefully they are working on one.

                      I've had very bad experience wiv this. Laggy, bad sound n only 4gb model sold in my country in shops. 4gb is not enough. Can't run more than 2 apps at same time. Can't use vpn as keep disconnect like someone else said before. It true.
                      Why release phone wiv 4gb ram wiv very bad ram management.Screen is badly laggy too. Not nice experience wiv this phone. Will try selling. Will never get nokia phone again. Very low quality. Worst brand out of all mid rangers. Never again nokia

                        I feel like Nokia is just spamming. They use 1 chipset, and they go for that chipset, It happens for the Snapdragon 480+, Snapdragon 695, Snapdragon 662 and so on. Also they spam the design. The G310 has the same design as the G42 just different colors. Nokia, make an proper device, return to the Flagship market. Do the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 4 cameras 200 megapixel, 4K 60 fps/8K video, 5000 mah battery, tiny bezels, 5 years software updates, IP69, MIL-STD rating, 12 gb RAM 512 gb storage, LidAR scanner

                              To be honest - I'm really loving RethinkDNS! It's so feature rich and feature packed!! It's definitely 10 steps above noroot in terms of functionality, and I like the element of control it gives a user.

                              Looking forward to the fairphone 5 too. I hope it has a removeable or easily replaceable battery.

                              I've still not had a chance to use a simple phone (simpletools) yet. I wonder if they'll also be releasing an update this year?
