Guy typing from my windows lumia 1020....the fone is soo awesome just enjoying it...cant keep my hands of it..shifting from Symbian 808i thought i would take time to adjust to windows. But its very easy...thou i hope notifications bar is launched. With windows 8.1...guys now i have lumia 1020 and note 2 have bb 9900 also,bit shifted bbm to note

So comments here are for 50% totally useless. If you buy the phone you'll see how good it is. II'm using mine for two months now.

I used iPhone 4, 4s, Htc one X,S ,Sony Acro S, Sammy S3, and then switched to Lumia's starting from the 920 and ending with the 1020, what i would say that this series was not made for boys and trolls who would use those phones as a game boy, Lumia's are made for grown ups who would love amazing Audio and Imaging quality combined with a like tank rigid material built, add to that wonderful GPS, and crucial messaging and socializing apps are available, so my experience with with Lumia's are much much more amazing than any phone I've ever possessed!
Therefore please pick your bullshit and go ahead to your "game-boy" forums and go find a game to play with kid.

nokia has made lumia 1020 copy of pureview 808 but still lacking the feature of usb host ,on the go ....

I want to buy this phone but 50% comments say yes.......................50% comments say No. i'm confuse.currently using android phone which is ok for me.but i love 1020 because of Nokia&window os.

Try carrying a DSLR around your neck a whole day while this thing "close-to-DSLR" can fit in your pocket easily and gives you a very good experience of the best mobile phone camera out there with a Smartphone experience as well. I am dying to get this device.

look at the 1st comment. That's exactly what happens to every windows phone user. Android and iPhone users getting all new applications and games and Windows users getting it after 1 or 2 years. And Windows exclusive games like Krrish 3 etc are total sh*t as compared to android and iPhone games. At least give us a properly working WhatsApp and Facebook messenger. And please make windows phone Skype equal to Android and iPhone versions.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2013Android and ios doesnt have an actual multitasking too, my ... morebefore you comment anything about multitasking let's know what actually multitasking is , it's ability of OS to run multiple apps in background and foreground and providing processing speed to individual apps as per they need it, independent of OS let's think how it can be useful and then we'll see if Android and iOS don't multitask or what!
So imagine that you're playing subway surf on your phone and you want to check out a whatsapp message, what you usually do , you minimize the game and open notifications and jump to whatsapp and read the message and you don't expect the boy in the game (subway surf ) to keep running when you are replying someone it's so simple and essential that when you're replying you expect the game to pause and continue when you're back on screen! Isn't it???
Okay then their is another condition when you're listening to music and you want to check out a freshly received whatsapp message you open notifications and click on whatsapp message and this time you don't want music player to wait until you reply , so their are some situations when you really want to let background app run even when you're doing something else (eg. downloading, music playback, receiving files our Bluetooth ) and even their are some situations when you don't need background app to run (eg. Playing subway surf, or other games or playing movie or video )
So the basic part is only some apps need to multitask ,in some cases only part of an app need to multitask, this can be a bit hard but let's understand this too, take an example of play store, if you have not opened play store but it'll still tell you that updates are available for this and that , or as soon as you enter Wi-Fi area it starts downloading updates for apps (if you have enable auto update over Wi-Fi network ) this capability is also called as multitasking but in this type of multitasking not whole app is running in background but just one command (to detect Wi-Fi and start downloading ) and one service (to download apps and install them )
So it's clearly seen that multitasking policy of apps varies from app to app
So which type of multitasking should be added and what services and commands would be running in background is totally depend on developer of that app
Android don't restrict developers and let them experiment how they want to do it all with their app, iOS restrict it to some extent, and in case of windows this is totally not in control of the developer their are only two states either your app is running or either it's paused in the Background, no services and know commands
This is the reason why developers don't like to develop for windows phone and toast notifications takes time to receive,
This is also a reason that Nokia Lumia 1020 takes more time to save a picture (even in 5mp ) cause camera and photos are two totally different apps and making straight changes from one app to other takes time on windows phone, while other OS would have significantly improve the saving time,
This is also a reason that their are very less apps available on windows store

i say wp cant send video from music + video via bluetooth

very bad i have a big list wp cant and android can do all
why they make that wp this is a only music player not a phone

There r many trolls spreading wrong info...these ppl r jealous of windows and never even used one...nokia makes some awesome fones and they have made windows gr8...I already have 1020 will buy 1520 wen launched to replace my note 2.... :)
