Nokia had low-level source code access to Symbian and were able to integrate the Broadcomm BCM2763 chip. This had to be removed for the Windows Phone 1020 and it is now done in software. The result: slightly degraded picture quality that is "digitally enhanced" which is basically like playing with the brightness/contrast settings to make it look brighter and sharper. But the raw image is still lower quality than what the 808 would give you, and it is very easy to change settings on the Nokia 808 to replicate the 1020 "enhancements." You could easily Google (or Bing, if you are on Windows Phone) Nokia 808 vs 1020 and the results are the same every time. The Pureview 808 is still the best quality camera phone ever made, and I say that as a former 808 and current 1020 owner

bought 920, changed to iphone 4 which is OK but will go back to nokia when troubles start, 1020 would be my choice. apple is too much greedy company for my taste.

... morethe lack of 1080p screen resolution is entirely the fault of Microsh1t for not updating their OS
Sensor size is smaller to make the camera less bulky but Nokia made the sensor longer (I don't know why though)
front camera is useful on video calling but other than that the only use I could think of is a unconventional mirror?? perhaps??
currently qualcom's snapdragon 800 is the only SoC that can top 2.3gHz of raw processing power..Lumia 1020 is designed, manufactured and distributed months BEFORE s800's design was finalized
I agree on HDMI port though....
