People at nokia are innovative. Of course, symbian have all the features since 2010, highest selling smartphone os, highest market share, so there was no point to leave symbian.. have you remembered nokia world 2011, how many innovative products and conceps were unvieled like humanform, flexible phone and What happened to these products. I have remembered, nokia flexible phone was almost market ready and in 2013 there is not any product based on those concept. What happened to project called morph, I haven't heard any words from nokia on those products after adopting wp os. The real problem is wp os. Nokia is slowly moving out of europe ( the innovation hub). What happened to meego (fully modern and fresh os). Why the choose wp os over meego/symbian.
Elop is a agent of Microsoft, he is working at nokia to benefits Microsoft.
Before Elop's effect, nokia was the biggest smartphone manufacturer. And after Elop's effect, nokia is now out of top 5.

because they are using amoled display thats why it will not produce natural colors. if they are using IPS display the color produced will be absolutely natural.

AnonD-75470, 31 Jul 2013Of course lumia 1020 is innovative but only from hardware s... moreIts funny all the function u mentioned were in the nokia n8 and later ones and tat to in best os symbian....still nokia had to leave it...dont forget nokia invented all of them...iphone or.. android still cannot beat n8 or 808 with its hardware or software...but y did ios and android succeeded coz of apps so plz dont give kiddy excuses about windows os...iam still using 808 as my main fone and note 2 fr social things and all...but end of it I care for good fone with good built...battery life...awesome camera...free maps with navigation and good ligth os...for me its perfect to upgrade frm 808 to lumia 1020....till today iphone is restricted to a comp...still ppl buy it..wen android is a full copy of symbian it still heavy os with 100 bugs and bad battery life...wait and see how windows evolves thanks to nokia...Nokia maybe should have stay with symbian and also kept meego as their other os...but now windows ia improving....nokia has all the hardware...Microsoft shld adapt their software. ...my nxt fone is def lumia 1020....

Hi peeps!
I am happy for Nokia for this piece of work...Camera is perfect, yes..but we need more in a phone in terms of specification, variety and style than just a camera!
1. Why did you not use Adreno 320/330?
2. What the heavens with document viewer?..no editing?
3. Why not vamp a 3500mAh battery in here?
4. Why did the snapdragon 800 miss out here?
5. What is with a small screen size galore?..
get bigger...please
6. Why should we, the loyal buyers be always remain behind in terms of specifications, applications, battery, screen, processor power,...I don't know..
I love my Nokia phones....but think about some adjustments.

... no... moreOf course lumia 1020 is innovative but only from hardware side, there is nothing on wp8 to be considered as innovation. Just compare 1020 with samsung galaxy s4, or note2 and one of biggest innovation in smartphone world coming soon named as moto x. You can consider 41mp camera as innovation but about more than a year ago it was there in market as nokia 808. Puremotion display-yes innovation, ois in camera , super sensitive touch. All above innovations come from hardware side and there is nothing from software side especially from Microsoft.
Im still stand to my point that there is no multitasking. It should be called multipausing not multitasking and only limited to 8 apps. As the apos dont proceed in background.
All the files are not shared via bluetooth. Even not all the audios and videos, thats why I called it limited.
No utg support. Not solved.
Fm transmitter- yes wp8 doesn't support this feature and you should accept it instead of suggesting optional connectivity.
No file manager- yes there no file manager inbuilt and third party file managers can't access all the files and storages due to restricted wp8 api.
No hdmi-as I mentioned above dont give optional connectivity, just accept it.
No notification centre- unsolved.
One big thing I want to mention that I am not one who post anything about without using, i had recently used nokia lumia 620 (yellow). Phone looks beautiful from every corner but the problem is wp8 which reamins unsolved. Any way, I have lost my lumia 620 and im back on my old sony Ericsson w8 and my galaxy tab2 7.
If above limitations are not enough to keep you away from wp8 then I will give 100 more reasons.

Ultimate camera bt old GPU and only dual core cpu. hmm

I have only one complaint about nokia 1020.It doesnt produce natural colors.Because of this some details are lost.808 produces natural colors. Nokia please please please...bring natural color feature to 1020 because we can get punchier colors using any third party app. So please update your software so that it provides natural colors then my money is yours.

Then nokia will seal the smartphone camera department(currently dominated) for any other company.Hope nokia bring graphene camera sensor soon. It will be good idea to have 41mp camera with 10 or 20 times optical zoom.

N... moreBro me too on 808 since a year...But trust me 1020 sounds and looks too good..and we will get all apps tat we need in windows..thou its not as good as symbian yet but its getting there thanx to nokia...iam def buying it wen released in india... cheers...windows os is way better than ios and android...thou its need to catch up on apps...then its perfect... ;)

... no... moreUSB OTG is there in N8, C6, C7, 701, 808 of Symbians and some of the high end Androids. It is a useful feature to connect flash drive.. and having file manager is a must if you transfer files from usb drive to phone.
Having HDMI is good too as DLNA connectivity requires a wifi network. AV connectivity through audio jack may be possible. Hope you agree with these opinion.

hey buddies, i have a question. I own Nokia 808 pureview. Now that nokia releasing Lumia 1020, my question is it as good as 808? The
difference between these two is the L1020 comes
with a new 1/1.5-inch, 41-megapixel BSI sensor,
which is smaller than the 808′s 1/1.2- inch, non- BSI offering of the same resolution.
What difference will it make practically ?
