guys I am so happy with my lumia 520 , be for that I used iPhone it all was good device ,
windows phone 8 os doing great job , and about android it not better than wp8 but applications and games maybe better
I hope Microsoft focus more on applications because me and alto of friends moved from Symbian to iOS or android and now moved to wp8 we miss some applications like fring nimbuzz free voice calling VoIP applications
and Nokia make windows 8 tablet 7 , and 8 inch

You can only view videos,nothing can be done with windows phöne including this 520.

8 gb memory is free with this phone (flip cart), so It becomes 16 GB now. Also it doesn't need zune software, to connect with PC like win 7.5, it connects directly both phone and card memory are visible and one can copy paste directly, no need of sync. Cheaper,more advanced, Bigger and lighter in comparision Lumia 710.

Phone is good. I'm normal user.Battery giving 1.5 day or 2days backup. But i want 2000mAH Battery for this phone any idea guys?

just go to
windowsphone.com and download any app n game and transfer to ur phone..
NOTE: when u transfer this files to ur phone dont put these files in any folder or dnt create any folder.. just copy paste on sd card only

For all those who worried abt heating problm, I think its very common for smartphone. Even my bro,s galaxy s3 heated up while browsing internet. U can go to Nokia Care to reduce ur heating problem by an upadate available for Lumia 520 as suggested by fellow commentor here. Good luck !! Switch to Lumia :)

By HD you mean "Full HD" right? Watching Full HD (1080p) movies on a 480p screen is a complete waste of space and battery power. It will take you ages to copy over the 8GB 1080p movie to your phone and your 64GB microsd card will only be able to save at most 8 movies. Simply transcode it to 480p or 360p with one of the many, many open source tools available online. There, problem solved.

I know, not great but not really that important either. You can manage your videos, pictures and documents from within each respective app. And when you connect the phone to your pc you can use Windows Explorer as usual.

Are you sure about this on your Lumia 520? It's supported in Lumia 920 and that means Windows Phone supports this. Maybe the installation failed on your Lumia 520?

There's the app store. You click install. You can also do it "manually" but do you really want to jailbreak your Lumia just to side-load apps?
Any app dev worth his salt will put up his app on the store. The only ones I know that aren't are pirated/hacked/modded apps which is illegal and robs hard-working devs of their hard-earned money.

Few issues with some apps but ms working on it. Best budget phone available in market right now. Go for it :)

I've just bought my Lumia 520 last week and this phone is very friendly user. You can install apps,games fast, camera and video quality is good, music player is also good. facebook, viber, skype is working very well. So better buy this phone, don't listen to other comments because you will definetely confuse of buying.

Hii. Friends m using 520 frm last week, its a great phone in this range...dnt buy stupid android phones if u really want to experience what is smartphone.
