if u want another app to download big files then use "file downloder"... just search any video.. copy paste it url in file downloder n click download. it starts downloading.

NOP..... moredude all these r android copies works same like android.. android is totaly open os n look at firefox n even jolla sailfish all works on same criteria. so they already got ther material readymade.. all apis already ther so these saifish n firefox devs r works too much fast on ther os..
microsoft working totally on latest kernel n c# app development language which is too much critical.. no other one still adopted these new kernel so they r workig fast on readymade material.
app coding of wp n w is too much difficult n latest so only few devs r developing good n faster apps.. not every c n c++ dev has knowledge of c#... microsoft creating totaly different ecosystem.
try to understand. app development is not joke. most of time it comes with lacking features which we call "beta" state n with further updates they add features.. coz such thing needs time.
about recent features in 8.1... I want to tell u they create 1st totally restricted os same like ios.. but u knw apple only captured high end market but MS launch wp devices in lower segment also which is addicted by android like u.. microsoft 1st priority is security.
after that android users demanding for features of android on wp.. why u want action center if tiles shows everything.. but still ms addet this for users like u..
wifi direct is supported now for wp8.1... only devs need to create proper file sharing app.. I already transfers big movies on wp from android by using SuperBeam n desktop by using wifi transfer apps..
about OTG.. otg is not safe feature in corporate world.. u know why companies always bought ios, wp, bb devices for ther employees because these r top 3 secured os.. android is worlds #1 insecure os in world. OTG is useful but it alse not safe in causes hacking n data stealing coz of this ms thinking too much on these features to implement or not.
wp n ios r not open sources dude so it is too much secure.. u want freedom then go to ur android n live on these malware wrld n insecure as well.
what u think about ios users??? they r mad that they spending huge amount of money on single device n used restricted ios.. No dude.. these users knows dangerous situation of this world n how much we r secure..
microsoft trying to provide that much security to lower end users but u guys always complening.. I think apple is right, why?? coz they knows these lower end users r totaly fools n I think that's reason behind apple not interested in lower segment. do u knw bluetooth file sharing not available in ios until ios7. they add it now in ios8..
things r not that much easy dude.. atleast for w n wp os.. they r creating whole new ecosystem from core n that is why wp os is #1 secure os in world now..

(I will try it now)Mostly I use IE11, it is good to me. Anyways, you are one of the most helpful persons in this forum... :)

NOP.. just compare with Firefox OS which is much younger than Windows phone OS... They have Wi-Fi Direct, USB tethering, File manager, Notification centre, Quick toggles , Smart Dialing... That too in under $75 Range.... But for windows phone users?? Notification centre, quick toggles, file manager etc comes with only 8.1 update.. that is not yet officially released... And what about WiFi Direct and USB OTG ?? That's already supported by the Hardware but not by Windows phone OS??

Just look at Firefox OS... They are just infants but still have basic features like Notification centre, Better Multitasking etc... Microsoft is Software giant but but a notification centre comes to this OS only after 2 years...

Previously apps from Nokia has the Best in terms quality and functionality and they the best among all platforms... For example Nokia proCamara, Nokia Creative Studio, Nokia Music... But now after the Microsoft take over they are bringing stupid updates to those apps and make them just anther ordinary app or even worse... In proCam They reduced the long exposure timing from 8 second to 1sec... I don't how can I manage with this 1 sec for Long exposure night shots... Similarly Microsoft updated Nokia creative studio... They removed already present features like color pop, collage, red eye removal etc and also changed the UI to worst... Microsoft working on Mobile platform since 2000 with windows Mobile series but still they don't know what users expect from a smartphone...

It ll be shown in Xbox video.. UC browser is best for downloading. It ll create new folder on SD card named UC download so you can also browse your stuff on PC
