Most users are adjusted to files, folders and old stuff, that is why they are demanding it. If they demand pirated apps, should that also be given? Not everything that can be asked be given.
P.S: iOS is also 'restricted' but no one complains!

Trick to download files in uc browser
at firstly set screen timer as 5min in settings/lock screen
then you can download files in uc but don't click the lock button
screen is will be on condition while download isn't completed try this... I'm using method... :)

I personally don't agree Windows Phone is said s smartphone. Smartphone is a phone that can do many things without need of PC help. If we look at Windows Phone deeper, it still need PC help for do many things, for example copy paste file, access microSD, move files, removed files, extract .zip
