3rd party developers dnt hav authority to access whole thngs..
but i thnk nokia, samsung, htc etc hav permission to make changes in os..
so hope is till ms not provide file manager.. nokia give us such fully functional file manager coz nokia has authority to add such thngs direct in os...

    a File manager must do
    - explore both SD Card and Phone memory
    - Add and Delete Folder
    - Move file between SD Card and Phone Memory.

    I doubt this type of app can available on WP phone.

    But if Nokia some how can make this type of app then it will definitely help Lumia to increase sales.

    iOS is premium phone and it has lots of apps. iOS and WP users are completely different, WP consist both premium phone to budget phone and they have different needs.If something iOS is missing then it doesn't mean people don't want it. Most of iOS phone sold in USA , may be they don't need File-Manager.WP sold all over the world and one thing i can say about people that they want to have a File-Manager in there phone atleast in India most people see as important thing.

    So, atleast do not compare WP feature with iOS>

          jackal 620, 27 Aug 2013its a Headache phone from Nokia,No chance to back up contac... moreNo chance to back up contacts - You contacts are auto backed up to your live account. Go to outlook.com, sign in with your live id and pass, click on the down pointing arrow besides outlook, click on people, there you have your all contacts backed up. Whenever you format your device, you will get your contacts back when you sign in to live ID again on your phone.

          Alternately go to your apps - transfer my data - tap the three dots and select export to SD Card

          Radio un available - 620 has some hardware limitation due to which the radio is not available, but its available on 520 and 720 after the Amber update

          music is doubled - This also is taken care in Amber.

          File manager not available - Yes one of the main turn off issue for WP, but hey even iOS doesn't have one, and still it is on the top, so I don't think its one of the major problem.

          video sending over bluetooth not available - Work around is transfer your videos to pictures folder and you will get the send via bluetooth option,

          but good wifi reception,little heats up,cannot move files. Every mobile heats up, some heat up during games, some while video, some while web. Lack of file manager affects the moving of files.

            also nokia india care replays that after amber they gives file manager app..
            i thnk its a app from nokia for lumians only.

              Look like MS finally listening.

              But We didn't get GDR2 up till and now, so you can't expect to get GDR3 before 2014.

                  its a Headache phone from Nokia,No chance to back up contacts,Radio un available, music is doubled,File manager not available,video sending over bluetooth not available,but good wifi reception,little heats up,cannot move files.

                            like... features but not OS...
                            Cz windows phone os have many problem.....
                            I can't share any File
                            I can't backup my... apps & also the OS have no notification bar....

                                      Nokia Lumia has to update many things first there is no file manager,video player,apps to move files from phone to memory card,uc browser aslo downloads the file but in phone memory,apps are only install in phone memory,less games and apps.......
