I am using Nokia Lumia 620 for the past one month. I sadly admit that it was a wrong decision to buy this phone. It is totally disappointed me basically becase of the not so good OS from Windows. Its my personal advice to each one of you not to buy this phone. Decision is yours.

The main drawbacks of the Nokia Lumia 620 are:
    1. We don't have a file manager built in on the phone. It is very difficult to store our photos and videos on the phone. Sometimes videos goes to photos section. We don't have an option to view the filename so how can we search a file if the number of photos are very huge.
    2. We can't transfer video files through bluetooth to any other mobile(even to Windows phone)!!
    3. Most of the video formats are not supporting like flv..
    4. Battery life is very bad. If we put the phone idle with the internet on the battery drains very quickly.
    5. We don't have enough useful apps in the app store for windows.
    6. The Nokia Map is a crap. It doesn't hold any useful info and the routes showing is not accurate compared to google map.
    7. The FB app is not good. We dont have an option to share any post which is posted by any other person.
    8. The default browser is Internet Explorer which is not that much good. Also the default search engine is Bing and it is not that much good as google.

Totally I disappointed with the mobile and am now looking to sell it and try any Android set in the same range like Samsung S3 mini or Sony Xperia P.

Please don't buy this crap.. I lost my money.. :(

Many People Ask that which is best mobile between
Nokia lumia 620 and galaxy s3 mini.. here the solution
        price:nokia lumia 620=13,200...galaxy s3 mini = 15,500

Today I would like to tell you about my comparisons between Nokia Lumia 620 vs Galaxy S3mini
        #1 Design
Nokia Lumia 620 feels like a high end phone design, the simplicity, the durability, colorful, cute and elegant make its far better than Samsung Galaxy S3 mini with cheap plastic built,so clunky, not durable and looks like local/chinese brands

        Winner: Nokia Lumia 620

        #2 Performance
The Nokia Lumia 620 powered with Snapdragon S4 processor and Adreno 305 GPU which is deliver the best performance and this kind of processor usually putted in high end smartphone, the benchmark are far better than S3 mini even the S3 itself, the GPU and gaming performance also a lot better than S3 mini

        Winner: Nokia Lumia 620

        #3 mapping
The mapping on S3mini are very sucks, the Lumia 620 blown the S3 mini easily on mapping category, the Nokia maps are very useful, easy to use,and lovely

The Nokia transport also useful too

        Winner: Nokia Lumia 620

        #4 Apps
The apps on Lumia 620 are very beautiful, well built,no lags and crash, they’re beautiful
In android its very laggy, full of malware and not delivering best experience to the user maybe android have much more apps than Windows Phone but the quality are very bad

        Winner:tie

        #5 video and audio recording
With the rich recording and dolby technology on the Nokia Lumia 620 its making the recording are very detail, sharp, and amazing quality+clarity,lumia620 blown the Samsung all the way
The s3 mini just making our ear bleeding

        Winner: Nokia Lumia 620

        #6 screen

The screen on Samsung Galaxy S3 mini are very bad,you can’t see anything on your device in direct sunlight, its very worst quality its unlike the 620 it has an high end Lumia screen the Clearblack technology,it allows you to see,to capture anything in direct sunlight

        Winner : Nokia Lumia 620

        #7 OS
The Nokia Lumia 620 have Windows Phone 8 its more fluid, fast, and more secure, compared to the Android which is laggy, full of malware, and low quality apps most of them are crashy, even in android hackers can easily hack your social networks/emails accounts, put malware and unwanted ads to your phones,it always restart itself

AnonD-104099, 03 Jul 2013@TheApprentice what is the present (if it is updated) firmw... moreIt varies with country region and carrier but as far I am concerned there are two current versions

            1) 1030.6407.1308.0001
            2) 1030.6409.1314.1002

Alternately you can go to Settings - Phone update and tap on "check for update" if there are any updates then your phone will tell you. Else it will just say "Your phone is up to date. Checked xx seconds ago"

AnonD-161249, 03 Jul 2013Thank you apprentice n ajai.. I too have the same query.. ... moreFor photos and videos, you can directly copy paste those into your PC first and then transfer them to the handest again via copy paste.

For contacts since you have the phone. Use the 1st option in my previous post, the bluetooth transfer way. Its very easy. First pair both the phones via bluetooth. Open the Transfer my Data app. Select start, it will automatically transfer them from your LG to this phone.

Yes you will have to go to Vodaphone store to convert your sim to micro sim and yes you will be able to retain your number.

Sreejith, 03 Jul 2013hi there ian planning to buy this phone a cross over from a... moreIf you still have the other phone you can transfer the contacts directly via bluetooth using Transfer my Data app that comes built in with WP phones. If not then here are someways you can do that.

                          1) Use a sim card reader and transfer those contacts to the sim and then import them to the new handset

                          2) Use someone else phone to read your contact from memory card and then transfer via bluetooth

3.1) Convert all those contacts to one single CSV file(Google "convert vcf to csv").
3.2) Create a live.com ID and upload your newly created csv file to outlook.com
3.3) When you get your phone sign in with the same user ID and password of your live ID that you just created and your contacts will get synced automatically to your phone

                          4) Since you are coming from Android its more likely that your phone contacts have been synced to the Google Contacts.
4.1) In that case you can directly import your contacts to outlook.com from Google and they will sync to your phone.

                          5) Again since you are coming from Android, you must be having a gmail account that you intend to use in the WP phone.
5.1) In that case just configure your gmail account in your new phone your gmail contacts will automatically get synced to your phone which will include your phone contacts as well. You can then go into contacts hub and filter the account from which you need your contacts to be shown.

I have listed 5 ways in which you can transfer your contacts from your Android to Windows Phone. Be careful to follow one single method or your will end up having multiple contacts.

AnonD-161004, 02 Jul 2013hey Apprentice !! Still is xperia J a good choice worth fr... moreYou are welcome, as I said my expertise are limited in terms of Android and my first few lines of earlier comment say whatever my experience is but according to me for 14K, Xperia J not worth the money. You can always research more. Here is what I do.
                                        1) Go to site like flipkart and check for the available devices in the price range.
                                        2) Shortlist the devices and make a note of their names
                                        3) Do a quick glance on available features and filter some out depending upon my requirements
                                        4) Compare them here on GSMArena and remove some if I find them at the bottom of the chart
                                        5) Read the reviews of all those devices that are left on various websites
                                        6) Watch as many videos of those devices as possible
                                        7) Get a hands on experience by either borrowing from friends or going to retail shop that have live demo piece for you to explore.

I know its a lengthy procedure, but this is what I do. That way I am ready for what I am buying and what sacrifices I will have to make. For example even before buying 620 I knew its battery is not going to be sufficient for me. But that was hardly my problem as I am mostly never away from a charging point. But still I ordered an external battery pack of Nokia DC-16 even before I my bought the phone and now I have even bought a spare battery, so that I keep the external battery pack for travelling purposes.
