I want a smooth performance with nyc... moreXperia J with 512 MB ram and 1GHZ single core processor according to me will give you a good battery life but not much of a smooth performance. The price range you suggested is very complicated to get a balanced device. As far as my knowledge goes Galaxy S Advance is a good choice. Androids in this price range are too under powered and powerful ones are old. If smooth experience and good battery life is your only concern then I suggest going for 520 or increase your budget for 720 or for some other Android. But before you jump on WP train, be ready to make a lot of sacrifices and lot of doing things in a different way. But be assured we will be here to help. Before making any decision, there is guy here on this thread named SuperNexus, he has better knowledge of Android than me. Its better if you consult him once. Put up a post asking his advice, see if he replies, haven't seen him for a long time, don't know if he still active or not.

My phone's average battery life is 8-9 hrs, with one hour of gaming and one hour of net surfing with 24 whatsapp, gtalk, facebook chat and mail client connected to internet via wifi. But if I go without net connectivity I can easily stretch it to 10-12 hrs with an hour of gaming. If you want a good battery I would suggest either 520 or 720 if you are sticking with WP else would suggest going for Android.

i am using lumia 620 for 1month its amazing .all the features give a new experiance.live tiles is very attractive beside this ,lumia 620 is a smartphone not a funny android phone for gaming. So its has its existance ,dont compare with android.
