I installed developers preview earlier and also updated to the 8.1 update 1 but that did make the phone a bit laggy so updated my phone with the Nokia Software recovery tool to the latest Lumia Cyan update in India, It works great now though the USB settings options isn't there does anyone have this issue ?

Yes it can be repair, the same problem is facing in loop mobile card also, the reason is frequency, those sim card support only frequency till 900.... The sim cards has to be more than 900 freqency range.

My 620 as old as yours and yes there is a call drop issue these days especially with Airtel. But it cannot be related with handset at all as this happens with other handsets like galaxy grand. So this is the problem with the operators not the instrument I feel.
Sad thing is there is no concrete date on 8.1 update for 620 in India

I bought Nokia Lumia 620 one and a half year back. Suddenly it developed some problem. The calls I make get "dropped". The cell has never fallen down from my hand and no external damage also. In the Nokia service Centre they are telling there is problem with signal reception. The serice centre people advise that it can receiv only vodaphone signals. Airtel or Aircel SIM wont work in it and there is not remedy for it. It has to be thrown out only. Can any Nokia person tell me wheher it can be got repaired?

I think 620 is the only low budget phone as compared to other windows low budget phone, which has almost all the features eg: Glance, double tap, back cover quality,dedicated camera key,seaprate jack for hands free nokia glass, front camera, it's not gorilla but its made by nokia and anti scratch..etc
