I bought lumia 620, just because there are so many android and apple fun-boys giving negative comments, so I decided to give it a try, sadly.
I'am getting disappointed more and more with every shocking discovery on your's so called "smartphone" OS (it does not deserve to be called so)!!!
There are many basic features that even old "dumb-phones" had!!!
My windows phone 8 negatives:
1. NO sms ringtone that I want, only your default ones!
2. I have to be connected on internet even to check my installed apps and games and access SD card!
3. Can not install anything if offline!
4. No file manager!
5. I have to connect my phone with PC every time when I just want to delete things from phone!
6. Phone powers itself on when you connect it on charger.
7. No option to save contacts on sim-card...
There are good things, features (speed of os and security, but that's probably matter of time) and applications, but missing some basic features that i had on "dumb" phone, not to mention nokia e65. Even with old laggy symbian it is far more functional than this so called smart phone with it's RESTRICTIONS which are real disappointment.
I hope that I will manage to return or sell this phone before I discover some more let-downs on this OS.

Hi just updated my 620 from 1304 to 1308 no problems, now have storage check,
can delete temp files and get some space back, 620 is very good much better than my
HTC Radar on 7.5, updated skype works well on 620, battery life is ok lasts me a full day,
best windows phone i have owned, might save up and go for 820 next year.

I have written Mugen Power a mail regarding manufacturing of either 1500 or 2000 mah battery for 620. They also provide a custom back panel if the thickness of the battery increases. You can also contact them at the below address. If they see more people contacting they might increase their pace

STEP 1]..switch off the mobile phone and remove the memory card ..
STEP 2]..insert the memory card to a memory card adapter ..and then connect the adapter to pc..
STEP 3]copy all your xap files from pc to memory card ..[as it is without creating any new folder ]..
STEP 4]...now remove your memory card from pc and insert it back to mobile phone ....
STEP 5]..open windows phone store icon on phone .....tap on sd card and here you go ...all your application ,games that you copied as xap files from pc would be there ...now select applications ,games that you want to install and click on install ....completed
NOTE :MAKE SURE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF SPACE IS AVAILABLE ON THE PHONE MEMORY ...AS THE COPIED XAP FILES WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE PHONE MEMORY ..[YOU CAN ONLY COPY XAP FILES ON THE MEMORY CARD BUT YOU CAN'T INSTALL THEM ON MEMORY CARD ...THIS FACILITY IS NOT AVAILABLE CURRENTLY ON WINDOWS PHONE BUT MIGHT BE AVAILABLE AFTER 'BLUE 'UPATE ..

It happens most of the time that a current update is a future inbuilt feature.

Apprentice,is there any difference in the dolby of nokia 700 and lumia 620? For 700's dolby was after sw update but in lumia 620 the dolby technology is built-in.....
