In Android too, many OEMs have dropped support to newer devices as USB tethering requires drivers to be installed on computer and with so many devices and different OSs on computer and their different version, it has become impossible for OEMs to keep USB tethering supported. Its not available in WP and iOS from the beginning.

I heard that though battery is 1300mAh it lasts for long as the mobile is optimised very well which is equal to a battery or 1700mAh in android phones. Is that true ??
And are there any other issues about it and finally what you suggest to go for it

I am not bothered about such things that much. In fact I do not even remember if I have ever tried to watch videos on any other site than youtube via phone browser.
If such things like flash support are really that much important for anyone, then WP is clearly not for them.

Change of region option could be there in account settings. I can not be 100% accurate as I do not own WP8 and its not possible in WP7. But its possible in WP8 and I remember reading that phone requires restart after you change region and then you can download apps from that region.
