sree, 22 Dec 2012waht about the quality of apps in windows market compared t... moreMost general purpose apps are already there. You won't have as much choice but you will usually find something that works. That's not a problem. If you're the type who does document editing, then the MS office suite is awesome.

Games are a problem though. If you are a gamer, iOS>Android>WP

Also, if you use google services a lot, there aren't any apps for that and gmail won't work with the mail app from january end

Maps aren't an issue, though - the nokia drive app is really solid.

AnonD-91705, 22 Dec 2012since lumia 620 is blessed with a clear black display techn... moreHmmm, I don't think there's enough data for me to comment about the lumia 620's battery life.

TBH, from what I've seen, as far as battery life goes, there have been good performers and bad performers with both WP8 and android.

For example, I've used the original RAZR maxx for a while and that thing never died. And I've got friends who've got notes, s2 and s3 and those phones do well once updated. I'm also hearing from a few people that the lumia 920 gives great battery life. On the other end, my old HTC explorer and samsung galaxy Y were utterly horrible when it came to battery life. And I've got a friend with a lumia 710 which drains it's battery very fast. I stopped judging battery life by simply looking at screen sizes and battery capacities - the iphone does really well with it's small battery, even with a major power hog for a GPU, for example.

Really, it's not a good to bash on a platform. Always take each phone for what that particular phone will do for you. I choose android because it gives me some features that I, personally, really appreciate. I'll admit right away that the majority of people probably won't find them useful/simply won't find a need to use them - and I don't always recommend android either...pretty simple, really

AnonD-91705, 22 Dec 20121 by 1 I'll give u all ur phones list cons. Samsung galaxy... moreOh, i agree with you on the VFM stakes - that's the best phone you can get for $249. The two krait processors alone make it worth it. The other poster asked which phones had 512megs of RAM.

If you can stretch your budget a little bit and you are fine with 8gig of storage(ugh, so annoying), and you can actually get it, the nexus 4 is a big step up at $299.

But lower down, there's no competition, the lumia trumps. Unless, that is you simply CANNOT spend more than $170 where I'll recommend the xperia tipo.

[deleted post]I don't think any of these phones mentioned here has Dual core processor ..That too latest generation S4 KRAIT.. All of them have maximum of Single core 1 Ghz which is too less for an Android. You have to spend atleast 22,000 rupees for a better android experience. Its not the case with Windows phone..

Android will never be as smooth as WP8 or iOS on the same hardware - maybe close enough to not make a difference but it will never be equal. The trade off is true multitasking - again something that's very useful to a certain section of customers like me but is useless to most.

It all depends on how you work with your phone...

On the other hand though, I don't agree with you on the battery life thing - that's something I am iffy about. Windows phones have had their high performers and low performers just like android - better to wait and see...it really could go either way

i am thinking to buy this phone for my gf, so i want to clear 1 boubt.
I read it sumwhere that W8 stores games and apps only in phone memory and no way to trnasfer them on memory card, is it true??
and secondly, can we transfer content over bluetooth like photos and videos???
                                    thanks in advance....
