No OS is as open and flexible as symbian. It brought support to the hardware acceleration, bluetooth 3.0, NFC, wifi n, USB OTG for a first time ever. It was doing a true multitasking before the era of palm OS. I remember how my 2004 bought 3230 was good at multitasking.
But it truly lacks many features which are essential these days. I said that in previous post.
What I only meant from earlier post that symbian's battery efficiency is unmatched even if capabilities that of platform are considered.

AnonD-77318, 06 Dec 2012Thanks dear, im N8 owner and battery capacity of this phone... moreI have used Nokia 3230, 5235, N79 in past and I miss the battery backup of all those phones but at a same time, you get much more functionality in WP. Your Facebook, twitter feeds/wall posts are integrated in contacts, facebook albums in pictures, you can have multiple push mail accounts in sync at a time, cloud storage keeps in sync constantly (skydrive), there are high quality internet hungry apps and processor hungry games, plus all routine tasks like calls, sms etc. And still one full day of backup is amazing thing, trust me.

Don't expect the same battery efficiency in this phone but it won't be that bad as you thought. I am telling you with confidence after using Lumia 710 for more than 8 months now.

AnonD-77318, 06 Dec 2012Lol..im a nokia user too.but i just disagree with this phon... moreMan, I use Lumia 710 and it also has similar 1300 mAH battery and I still get at least 1 full day out of it. I use internet heavily on phone. For 2-3 hours per day on 3G, games for around 1-2 hour, music sometimes and SMS, calls all the day. Plus phone is constantly in sync with Microsoft, Google and Facebook accounts. I still get one full day. What I have observed is WP is efficient for battery when phone is connected to internet in background. This results in higher backup. Android consumes most of the battery in same situation that is background internet use.
