there is a new firmware for the N70 but they are having problems with it.

Features are great, shame its so slow. Had mine for a day trying to get on with it, had nightmares about being stuck with it for a year and took it back the next day. The lag is horrable, camera cover opens when putting the phone in your pocket, menu key is in a totally
stupid location & the battery life is bad... All in all would be a nice phone if they made it slightly more easy to use the thing!

ming85. heyy. i dunno much abt w800. but i am currently holding n70. from singapore too larr. hahax. anyways n70 is damn good fone. the camera vedio all perfect. somemore got a lot of features. as for the mp3 , the sound all quite loud and stuff. there are not reli at all any complain abt the bad effects of this phone.seriously its a damn good buy! the onli think is maybe a can be a bit slow at tymes. but not that slow also. still kinda okay wan!

i've had this fone for 2weeks now. my onli problem is that its a bit too masculine for my liking and most of the superior functions on the fone seem alien 2 me as i dnt no how 2 use them n cnt b bothered 2 find out. perhaps i shudnt have bought such an advanced fone. also its internal memory is too limited! but other than that i hav fortunately had no major problems other than the fact that it is fairly slow. xx

i think the n70 is a gr8 fone i got to use it the other day in work. i think ur all bein bit harsh bout 02 as well i mean i work for them in customer service. The problem is that nokia never stock enough phones thats why we run out

I m considering about choosing N70 and W800... i like N70 becoz it got a large display but W800 only a small display....
And, i heard from here quite a lot of complain of N70. So i m worried... I came from Singapore. Isnt u all came from europe country? isit the firmware is the same?
Really confused of choosing hp... Can someone help me?

Well just after i wrote my post raving about my new n70 i got yesterday it crashed while sending a text. "no big deal" i thought, remove the battery, start it up and... "phone cannot start up, contact your retailer". tried taking the battery out for an hour, tried many restarts and nothing! it just broke itself :( and it was sooo good! need to wait till tuesday till carphone warehouse gets new stock in! grrr!!

i had a similar experience with the anti virus software thing that came with the phone, got corrupted, uninstalled but den couldnt reinstalled back. About the changing of memory card thing, all the applications are installed on the card.. so the only thing is go to nokia website: http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,81769,00.html
to download ur applications into your PHONE MEMORY so that when u swapped card again, ur applications still remains.

Well i hot my N70 today and wow! very impressed with the build quality, the keypad is a little small but works very well. I discovered the N70 autoatically assigns a "computer" voice to all your phonebok contacts based on the name! (this works really well, you dont need to try and sound like robot to make it work!) which also leaves the door open to make your n70 say anything you want simply by saving it as a contact name,and clicking "play voice tag!!" (very entertaining i can tell you!) the signal quality is great as is the camera (although not as good as my old k750) All in all a great 3g handset!

I advise you to chose W800 cuz it has better quality camera and sound.
Then, it was a larger memory, better design :D I tested W800 and it was brilliant. N70 reacts slower.

Hey guys,
I am contemplating between N70 and Sony Ericsson w800i. I am currently using Nokia 3230 and faces some problem. Could any N70 user(s) please kindly advise if they face this problem using N70:
- can't insert name/phone no. when creating messages
- no auto key lock
- hang frequently
- laggy speed
- camera night mode blur
- can't close all application by "end-call" key
If N70 is also having the above issue and I'm likely not to use the 3G function, sounds a little redundant to buy it huh. If that's the case I might as well go for sony ericsson for it's larger memory?
What do you guys think?
