i buy yesterday an n78 with 250 euros but at first i handle that phone its too light just like made from plastics and navi wheel sucks. its tooo sensitive, camera is ok, may be my finger is too big for the buttons of it. i also like n82 but its not available for now,

I love this phone..
amazing battery lifetime, FM transmitter works like a charm! navy wheel runs perfectly. The keys is nice to use when you get used to it and I just love the "pulse" effect the navy wheel has when the phone is on standby.. :D
I did, thought, encounter some problems like SW. freeze and camera bugs..
but after I reinstalled the software on the phone using the *#7370# code it works like a charm..
NOTE: if you do use the nmentioned code be sure to make a copy of your phonebook, pictures ect.

for better camera, choose N82, with 5mpx and xenon.
for 3d gaming , choose N82
for fm transmitter, choose N78
for newer version OS, choose N78
for better battery-life, choose N78
for cheaper ones, choose N78
its ur choice.

THAT... moreactually, i was unsure to upgrade the firmware also,
but becos i use navy wheel mostly, and hate it when just simple touch, it moves too quickly. also i had difficulty to click right-shortcut / 'back' key to the previous menu, and always got standby menu instead.
after i upgraded it, it is easier to navigate the menu but its kind of disapointing when looking into photo album (in full screen), cos we have to move our finger saveral times to make it changing with other pic.

after u upgrade to v12, the sensitivity of navy wheel being reduced, its nice actually. also its easier for us to click shorcut-right key / "back" key.
this is quite important i think.
for the rest, i think there are not very significant.
for audio themes, some menu events are added.
audio themes can be set to off (not with v10)
newer real player (3rd june 2008)
also, they said V12 has better compability for n-gage game compare to v10. (havent tried N-gage in my phone btw)

My phn runs fine except the call key.when i press the cal key several time left selection key is started.how can i solve this.before buying 78 i dont know it supports wmv vedio file.amazing.i am waiting 4ngage.thanks.

Great 3.5g speeds
Great battery life
Nice big 2.4" screen
Looks horrible but for 300 bucks if you need 3g and wifi then its way worth it much better then anything else out there right now for a very reasonable price.
However, I picked the 6220 classic for the 5mp camera and it still runs on the same new symbian 9.3 OS. I don't really need wifi or 3g.

I think the camera sound is to prevent people from taking spy shots and stuff..the N78 is perfect for me..the N82 has better camera and better sound quality( speakers and headset ), but it feels cheap compared to N78..the screen is also miles behind N78..N79 comes with a similar starting price but with better keypad design and better camera, but its too feminine and fashionable and lacks the "cool look" of N78..I think functionalitywise, phones nowadays are pretty much in the same league, and u wont be disappointed with anyone of them( N-series) so when choosing a phone, one should see how a phone feels
