You don't have the new photo gallery, landscape mode and everything! Who will need to buy N81? There's N78 already! N81 is big joke!

guys i need help big time i got this phone like two weeks ago tried to act smart and update the software something wrong happnd and its all EFFD up now all it does is show a blank screen when i press the power button and switch off after 5 secs wat do i doooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The N81 and N82 already have Demand Paging. The N81 has the FP2 Features inlcuding Menu Animation and Transition Effects, the Navi wheel that works in more menus in its new Firmware. LOL 1200mAh battery? Doesn't make much difference from the N81's 1050mAh due to it having the Toshiba hardware to be more power effecient in Multimedia.
VGA video recording? LOL ye at 15fps! It looks terrible the N81 records at QVGA @ 15FPS which looks a lot better rather than being stretched to VGA.
HSDPA, id love to see who uses it everyday at home. Fair enough it has HSDPA ,GPS and the 3.2mp cam over N81. But then again the N81 has the Sound Quality, Music Keys, Gaming Keys, better Ngage support and better speakers than a N78. I think they are both almost on par.

And to the N78 is a "beast" as a bit to optimistic of you. Let me remind you that all this has over a N81 is the GPS AND 3.2MP camera otherwise MOST if NOT ALL other things are the same. Hardware wise they are identical. And the N95-8gb is far better than a N78. The N95-8gb has great build as well, the slider is very tight and the phone is solid. I understand you love your new N78 but please keep this on the real now.

hello one has seen many posts that in total have ended up in text arguments well what can one say? .I have used many nokia phones over many years and to date the N81 has to be the worst phone for the cash outlay one says this due to the poor phone slide that can close when opened when on a call and the slider is loose and you can see light through this gap be it a small one yet over a short time this gap will indeed grow as you use the phone...the N78 may not look as smart as many phones on the market yet it is a beast inside the covers it was designed to be functional and have the power to comply with the imput requested from it and it may take some time to get use to the new interface layout but thats it it may be akin to using xp then moving to vista for the first time and you will grasp the logical layout but all in all the N78 wins hands down for build quality well over the nokia N95 8 gig model due to the poor quality build of the said N95 and i say this as the one i had sufferd from flexing thin plastic sides when the slider was in the fully open position this was due to cheap outlay when in manufacture and may one day be the undoing of nokia but as i understand it nokia will bring out a full touch screen by 11-08 and it will have tactile interfacement with the user and an 8 megapixle camera if you like that type of thing yet when you think even the manufacturer LG can make a phone that has 120 FPS for recording video you need to wonder if nokia are stringing out people by introducing more and more models that are the same yet with a little more function and in some cases the phones have been WORSE that the one it has replaced due to quality issues as indonesia now make some nokia phones in this is been seen in quality build over the last 4 years so what i want to see now from nokia is a video framerate of 150 FPS a 10 megapixle camera and a better cpu and the symbian system needs to be alterd as many can not sign there own work so maybe a windows version may one day be included (i have windows xp on ones old n95) ..sorry for going on and on..

Is it true that from the battery cover you can hear a creaking sound and it is shaking a little bit?
How was keypad? I have large sized fingers, and I'm worried that if I bought this phone I might find it hard to text because of the thin lined keypad. I like this phone. It's simply amazing.

Missing of an important pen key.how can nokia forget the pen key,feel difficult to copy and paste which have to do it manually in the option.
keypad makes me frustrated,the right selection key is to near with the media key which make it difficult to type.
and the number pad,bar without space,speechless. Dont go for this phone. u will regret.

N78 doesn`t have smileys neither games preinst... morethanks for a precise answer .... i do have another question - I have a bluetooth handsfree visor-lite 160 which i connected to my previous phone - sony ericssson - no problem at all - I cannot get this connected to my nokia. Ihave tried finding it in bluetooth but no devises are found only other phones ... any suggestions?
PS does anyone know where I can download smileys apart from MOSH

there are no smilyes in N78 which makes the phone more professtional like other else than stuyle like :) ands the the middle button keeps flashing every 20 secs or so because it just tells u tht the phone is on not off and it actually looks cool to tell u the truth i really like the phone cuz its profestinal like :D. Im really stasfied with the phone its simple light and not bulky unlike N82 and N65 and N81 and did u knw tht N82 memory only 2GB expandeable to 4GB but the N78 is also 2GB but exopandable to 8GB!!!!! which gives u more capacity so overall i really really LIKE THE PHONE AND IM ADVISING EVERYBODY TO GET IT!!!!! :);)
