Feel disappointed on it,nokia n78. just got it abt 2weeks.nothing new except the fm trasmitter. anyway has a week signal,pass through underground like car park totally dont have signal,cannot act as in car handsfree using fm transmitter while making a call(transfer call voice to car speaker using fm trasmitter)
Keypad irritate me,straight bar omg,and the missing of the pen key which normally use to copy and paste in the previous N series.
Even have a stronger processor but it seems like not much different,and the size of the ram was just 96mb,if u r normally running multitasking in browser then it will hang.
Old fashion design.
DONT BUY,u will regret,go for N82.

Hi everybody, I just got my n78, the phone is noting special but is OK. Just to ask do you know is there any way to boost the FM transmiter signal as it is not very strong and the sound from the radio reciever is a bit crap?

The n82 is said to have the best Camera The lack of the fp2 does screw it over lolz but i would say get the n82over the n78 i was originally gonna get the n82 but they had none in stock so i got n78

Great Features like Radio Transmitter, its the best experience.
Also the overall speed and data transfer is good but sound is not high at speaker but clear.
Appearence is very much satisfied.

Yep, N78 is a nice device for those who dont require the N82's camera, xenon flash or GPU, bt just a nice allrouder. Its pricing realy doesn't make sense though, it should have been much cheaper than a N82.

The N78 is clearly a very sophisticated device. Anyone contemplating buying it might be advised to wait several months. The price will drop and prospective buyers will be able to compare it with the forthcoming N79. Besides, for anyone wanting this device for photography, at present, unless Feature Pack 2 is clearly required by the user, at the current time for the same price an N82 can be purchased.

N78 doesn`t have smileys neither games preinstalled. You can download them from Mosh site, for example.
The lightning you see is called `breathing` and you can disable it doing this: Menu - Tools - Settings - General - Navi Wheel - Off.

Can anyone of Nokia N78 users COMPARE it with Nokia N73 in outlook, display quality, actual working speed/ Menu speed, Multitasking capability, MUSIC quality, BATTERY life? Does symbian 9.1 soft work on this device? Thanks in advance.

Where are the smiley's for the texts and where are the free games ohh and when in stand-by mode - ie lights off keyboard locked, why does the navi key flash every 20 seconds or so???
anyone know?? please help other than that its okey dokey ;o)

randon, 04 Aug 2008hey raptor can u tell me abt the camara on your n82.... how... moreheheh well never mind buddy ...i tried my hands on n81 as well...the camera is horrible but the sound quality is quite impressive ....the key pad takes a while to get used to...but its a good option if you are looking for a music oriented phone..

The camera of n82 is very good...the colours look just great, i have never tried taking a picture at full zoom so wont be able to tell you about that...as per the sound quality is concerned its strictly ok..nothing great in fact the music out of the loudspkear is not at all impressive ..ear phone was its just ok..but having said that n78 doesnt sound good as well...and besides n82 has tv out option which n78 hasnt got..i mean you click a picture or you record a video ..and you can see them on your tv via the supplied cable...
so i wld suggest you go for n82 is you are looking for camera but if you are looking for some good music then no this aint the phone...but i wont suggest n78 as well

hey how come i cant get the software to install n-gage from the n-gage website pre-loaded in the phone? is it the software is still not ready for n78?

never mind... this mite sound silly but i got the n81 mixed up with the n82... lol... i sud have said n81 instead of n82
