raptor, 04 Aug 2008this is probably the ugliest looking nokia ever...man it lo... morehey raptor can u tell me abt the camara on your n82.... how good is it? cuz rite now im tinkin abt buyin one of these two phones (n78 or n82) but the only reason y im even considering the n78 is because of its camara... anyway my ques is.. how good is the n82 pic quality taken at full zoom? and hows the audio quality and loudness?

this is probably the ugliest looking nokia ever...man it looks like it has been made out of some cheap chinese plastic...though it has dual speakers but they come on where close to that of n73 or even 6110 for that matter..
the interface is fast enough (thanx to the nippy 369 mhz processor).The screen is good...
but i reckon at the same price when you can get a n82 which am using now ...i see no sense that one should settle for this phone...
for those of you who are interested in the review of n82 kindly let me know...

hey wake up!!!! n78 doesn't have 69mb ram but 96 ram!!! and this difference is not significant because 96mb of n78 is enough. you will never get full this ram!!! processor is more important!!! the speed of the phone depends of the processor!!! read reviews!!!! and don't talk things that you don't know.

yes, the thing is n78 is much newer than n82.if they both come out at same time, then the price gap will be more. now n78 is still expensive. only about 50-60 dollors cheaper than n82. the best time to buy is wait until the price gap is about 100 dollors

does this phone support the installation of the s60v3 apps like those in n73..

n78 is more music-focused than n82. n78 has better sound quality, and of course, has fm transmitter. n78 also has the latest os version which is so much better than previous version. it's now a lot more fun to browse and explore all the menus. also n78 has better battery life. on the other hand, n82 is more focused on camera.

Hi to all!!! I think that n78 is better then n82.
n82 over n78: better camera( but n78 also has a good camera but 3 MP), 3d acelerator, auto-rotate sensor(on n78 you can do this manualy), and i dont know but a lot od peole say that has better keypad. comes with n-gage( n78 also support n-gage but not preinstalled)
n78 over n82: better price, a lot better display,Feature pack 2( has better design with transitions and effects), fm transmiter, better gps and battery, more compact,quicker with 369 MHz processor(n82 has 332 MHz processor) and more interesting design(in my opinion).
I think that this can help you do do oyur choice!!! sorry for my english!!!

Does anyone can tell me how's the sound quality both from headset and speakers?? Are the last loud enough?? Are they comparable in volume to a 5700, N81 or N95? It would be very appreciated as I'm liking this phone more every day. I already have a 5700, that's why the loudness comparision

n82 is currently best nseries phone with wifi 5 mp xenon flash 3.5 mm jack camrea shutter good battery backup 100 mb internal memeory dont buy n78 u ll regret after purchasing it.

don't buy n78 buy n82 its the best phone ever phone ever produce dby any company. price is also best as compared to n78.
n82 got xenon flash 5 mp and n78 got led flash and 3.2 mp and camera shutter is not available. and keys are not easy to use incase of n82 keys are easy to use. there is not much price differences in both so my opinion buy n82 black

they won't make music editions of n series anymore because the new generation of n series are all very capable music phones

for those people torn between n78 and n82, here it goes:
n78 is more fun to use.
n82 is more capable.

i don't think nokia will release another version of n78 like music edition. they only do that to successful phone models like n70, n73, n95. there are 2 variants of n78 (not versions, but variants): n78-1 with 900/2100mhz hsdpa, and n78-3 with 850/1900mhz hsdpa. they are entirely identical, set aside the hsdpa bands.

Has anyone noticed that the books that come with the phone actualy refer to it as n78-1? Does this mean that a successor is coming soon?
After all, the same thing happened with n95-1 and n95 8gb.
