Having been a slave to clunky PDA/Smartphones this one seems to be a breath of fresh air. I can't wait until I can lay my hands on it...

I know because the MicroSDHC standard for phones goes up to 32GB although yes the N96 will support 48GB. There are already 12GB and 16GB MicroSD cards in final testing. And 32GB being tested.

Nokia, you're almost there.Apple ? nice try but too many limits.Sony ? screens too dull on most.Samsung ? always almost good but too many bugs and surprise doesn't do that softwares.maybe Archos should do us a phone then.

lets be clear here. who wants a phone with a big bright VGA 16m colours screen for video, pictures and such,AND a decent snapper,a pleasantly clear powerful enough stereo speaker sound, quick to respond, scratch proof crystal sapphire screen, keyboard well laid out, whose buttons don't detach itself after the very first bump,no memory limits, plus all connections,AND a battery that lasts 2 good full days of heavy duty ? thats the basics. No phone should have less, make them look good too.Anyone asks less from his phone ?

well,i've tried a 8gb card on 2 N82,it would take it.ive tried the very same card on my N95 1 and it took it ,and real fast too. how would you know it takes a 32 gb card ,the 16gb doesn't even exist yet. besides,we're expecting up to 48gb microSDHc.the N82 is a superb phone, just that card problem AND the ridiculous speakers AND the dull screen makes it a loser compare to the more modest 5700,especially comparing prices,3 times cheaper, and its internal memory is 100mb,not 16gb,that's the N96,not out as off yet. Here is the opinion for the N78,and i asked,is the screen bright or dull like most Nseries, and what's with this tiny weeny keyboard that doesn't even make the phone smaller but surely will make it a pain to text to your mates.

will this phone be cheaper or more expensive than the market price of the N81 then?

looks like an offspring of N82 and N81

                      Coolworld
BOTH N82 and this N78 support UP TO 32GB MicroSDHC memory cards like ever other FP-1 AND ABOVE Nseries.
5700 is nice but its nothing when compared to a N81.

                          @coolworld:

maybe it only accepts 4gb cards but it has a smashing 16 GIGS of internal memory ;)

plus,i'm a sms person, and although i'd sacrifice almost anything for a bigger screen as long as it has a big good sound,i hate touchscreens,or ridiculous keyboards. if you can't type you can't write. We live in a noisy world and screaming in your mouthpiece while pressing your device on your ear til the point of pain is no match for a good sms reading or writing.

it's difficult not to like until you actually have one in your hands.i played tried and tested the N82,superb,though its speakers sound is crap, and it won't take more than 4gb memory card, like my N95 1.even my 5700 accepts 8gb cards.i find the Nseries screen lack a bit in brightness, again compared with 5700,which in video viewing or themes upgrading for ex,makes everything look dull. anyone care to discuss these points ?

You use the FM-transmitter to transmit your music to any FM-receiver.

Thanks for the CPU information. I wasn't fully aware of the differences but i am now. More knowledge for my brain.
There was a review of n78 by mobilereview, but it seems to have been removed or something. Either way, it will not load.

Anyway, the goodies were it sounds as good as the n81, image quality is good for a 3.2mp camera, is very fast, GPS works like a charm, good battery life.

                                        The baddies.
The controversy over Nokia n82 and n78.
The keypad wasnt too bad, but not great either.
In short, it offers top-notch performance for the features it has.
