Ace, 25 Aug 2009I wnat to buy N79, but before that i want to know the follo... moreMay be u r really afraid about dis phone. U r fears are real in the first firmware of the N79 handset. But when u once update the latest firmware V30 or V20 (based on ur region) ur N79 is more stable and u surely feel the power of N-series. Sound from external speakers are Great but u may miss the bass quality.

1.Does it hang frequently?
2.Is it a slow phone?(its important for me)

i m using this phone from a month
it is very fine
my brother hav n82 and i compared n79 pics with n82
n82 night pics are good but day pics are same..
n79 hav better battery tim..
new firmwere
small size
fm transmitter
i would say n79 is 100 times better then n82

My favourite phone yet. The only negatives are it tends to eat the battery when I'm online and that it loses the signal more easily than my N73. Superb in every other way.

I only like the 'bar' kind phone. 5800 is sliding type and also one of my frd has this. it crashes most of the time. The same problem is also with 5130 but it is little cheaper. What do you suggest.

... moreyep, n82 is old and Im gonna buy n79 because it has more features, who cares if n82 have xenon but compared to n79, it has FM transmitter, express on covers and it is slimmer! But here @ the Philippines, n82 is more expensive than n79,.. n82 is P15,200 and n79 is P13,700
and because n79 is way more cheaper, Im gonna buy it! I want to wait for SE Satio but its price tag is also same as n97!

all i can say is that the n79 is one powerful smartphone.
may phone before n79 is the famous n82.
the reason i changed my phone fromn82 to n79 is that n82 is already old.
the reasons why i changed to n79 is because:
-longer battery life (7 days with singlr charge :))
-video light at night
-slimmer,lighter
-very good camera in day shots (same quality as n82 & n95 shots)
-faster OS S60v3 FP2
-can use microSD up to 32gb.(im using 16gb right now and tried 32gb and works perfectly w/o lag and slow downs)
-theme effects are pleasing
-most of the time its faster than the n82 (my cousin has a n82 w/latest firmware v31, my n79 black also have the latest FW v30)
-i have 600 images, 330 songs and 21 movies + 100 apps and games and it is fast, it doesnt lag.
-build quality is better than n82.
-OS is way better than N82 ( S60v3 Fp2 vs N82's Fp1)
-doesnt heat up whe using wifi ( my n82 is in very perfect condition yet it heats up)
-camera part doesnt heat up ( my n82's camera part heats up when you continuously use xenon flash.
-HW accelerator is not that important to me because i rarely play games on my phone. ( i have an itouch 16gb 2nd gen for gaming and music :))
and last but not the least...
this is only my temporary phone,
gonna buy pixon12 or nokia n900/rx-51 smartphone when it comes out later this year :)
