sgs n iphone lovers boasting of their screen i guess u are aware of the fact that plug n touch is coming soon by which we can even convert even 42 inch led tv into a touch screen with bonus of gesture recognition technology... now you guys will complain that we cant carry a 42 inch screen with us... we dont give a damn... u boasted of largest screen till now n now we will boast for many years to come

It is my experience for a week with n8
* super slow in changing of screen from vertical to horizontal position.
* you need to charge it everyday
* It hangs a lot like hell
* sometimes even though there was no other application open it is still slow.
* the only good thing is it's camera period.

I really feel no need for it, but who knows they may do it. I personally feel performance increment in S^3 depends on the Code optimization rather than CPU clock speed. What Nokia has promised in the upcoming update is new upgradeable Web browser (not HTML 5), (that was the only one named as far as i know) together with 50 other improvements (This may contain your over clock who knows!!, but we can expect portrait qwerty and split view in text entry to be among them, rest of them will be mostly code optimization and some tweaks). Don't expect a UI over haul in this update it will come in Q2.

n97 faster than n8?? Download the speedyGo app on both phone, run it and see for yourself. N8 is 180% faster

If we got the update before the last week of January that will be a surprise gift.

barcode, 04 Jan 2011it ranges from 1-8 sec.. =[[8 secs seems a bit high for N8. Even 2 to 3 sec is ok depending on other factors. Did you check with Level and angle meter apps. Check with angle meter, Level can sometimes be laggy depending on the Network connection. I suggest you to reboot your phone and check. Finally you can try a soft reset (restore not delete data and restore) it won't delete your contents. Don't try Hard reset or emergency reset you will loose QT and many QT dependent app (like Ovi store etc..). Best regards, I hope I'm not talking with someone who make fun out of this forum.

If it is a fraction of a second and still noticeable, that is the default responding time. If it too much delay like 5 sec or more you have to worry. Just check the timing in your home screen don't check it in keyboard app or something, they impose an additional delay. The delay in switching mode is nothing to do with the sensor or processing speed, it has been coded in that way intentionally or by mistake. To check your motion sensor download Level and Angle meter from ovi store and check the performance also Download NFS shift and play for some time and see if you get any noticeable delay in motion control. If it present there then that is to do with the sensor, so contact NCC. Don't Check the motion sensor with Drop it or any Hyperkani games because they have a coding error in Using the motion sensor and those game do some weired stuffs time to time.I hope it helps
