Dont need to limit your search to ovi store only. be a little more hardworking and search online. There are some games and games emulator that are not posted on ovi store.
You dont even have a n8 (i assume you have a wave) and yet you come here and spread lies and bullshits to other people who wants honest opinions

do one thing take a screenshot from n8 n then from a samoled mobile!then compare it in a lcd monitor of a pc..u will c the diff..

m, 11 Dec 2010like any other mobile giant, there is no "perfect"... morefirmware update will fix that cause symbian3 is stable as hell for the first version
i've had mine for a month and 10 days so far and i love it more eachday cause of how handy it is
and nokia is smarter with there updating system
now instead ofa huge update every 3 months
they send out the the updates for apps when they are done
so if it needs fixing or a tweek they send out an update and it gets fixed
then the big one will drop next year in feb

Try changing your wifi settings so that your phone connects only to a wifi signal, not gprs/hsdpa signals. and try changing how the wifi device consumes power like power saving settings in wifi.

like any other mobile giant, there is no "perfect" or "ultimate" mobile gadget ever invented in this lifetime. why? because if it there's one mobile gadget that is perfect in every aspect of mobile ingenuity, then we won't be at this website hating and praising one mobile brand after another. It's thesame as human beings, the moment all is perfect and peaceful is the time we lose our humanity. That's the same with mobile companies, they thrive thru imperfection cuz we, at the end of the chain, are opting to upgrade our gadgets as we get nearer to perfection... if there is such a thing.
so, as for me, using my n8 for the past 2 days was hell. i'm a android fan/user and iOS hater, getting back the symbian badnwagon was a headache. i have no choice but to impress the misses cuz it was her xmas gift for me. But, i learn to compromise and as of this moment i could say N8 is not as bad as I thought it would be... but, i would hope for a better gadget in the future.

my n8 social network always keep said script alert: sorry reinstall and uninstall communities and my top apps always said reconnet with blank T_T ! over weekend like this ! i quite get mad with this problem ! anyone can help please T_T

jasmine lo, 11 Dec 2010my N8 social network cant use and top apps cant use too... ... moredownload first ovi store 2.0 apps so that the ovi store and top apps will work, as for the social networking mine works on the normal range. there's nothing to be impressed about the social networking integration of ovi cuz it lacks versatility. solution? I downloaded a 3rd party app called snaptu and it kinda made facebooking more flexible than the ovi. hope it helps!

does i7 and pentium 4 really comparable? o.0
hardwares must work together. also software should be compatible with the hardware to work efficiently and effectively. maybe one reason why nokia used such technology. it is not all about the rates. it all about cohesion.

cause you need a 1500mah battery just to keep the ARcortexA8 alive
look at all the iphone 3gs users
they couldn't even have the phone on for a day let alone a half a day without charging it

AMOLED and SAMOLED screens
cause they have really bad power management XD
nokia's AMOLED screen @ 360 x 640
and an average android
TFT/SAMOLED/AMOLED screen800x480
look almost the same
cause of the AMOLED the produce the same amount of colors XD
it's only browsing you would notice a difference trust me
cause i had the N900 and it has the same res as all the other android phones

Android unit in price class of N8 has the advantage of higher resolution, plus they are smoother and more responsive coz of modern processors. Remember that when comparing arm11 to snapdragon or cortex A8 you can cut the clockspeed roughly in half to compare them. So a 350Mhz snapdragon has similar performance as Arm11 at 680. Its like Intel Corei7 vs Pentium 4, the Pentium 4 has the clockspeed but is many times slower.
Unfortunately Nokia can only use A8/snapdragon in the RX family, units like N900 and the upcoming N9, since those dont run Symbian OS. Symbian has compatibility issues with modern processor, and thats the only reason Nokia use Arm11 for N8. And the only reason they use solow resoultion for N8 is alo a Symbian limitation. Nokia got stuck in a dead end street and is not trying to back up a bit and fidn another way through, they keep banging against the obstruction called Symbian.
they copied like iphone for internal battery this is laughable mistake nokia had make never ever seen a such bluddy phone...
nokia giving features like hdmi,blutooth 3.0..12megapix,,full hd recording tell them that we can use these feature if our mobile work in simple way..this mobile does not work simply then we came to know how much we can use these feature....i hate nokia really in future if someone gave me any phone of nokia in free then i also not take it...
This phone is really bad..when i buyed this phone after ne month this phone dosn't swith on then i go to noki care they replace this phone after getting new phone again after one week again same problem again they said that we have to send this to head office again waiting for phone its really bluddy mistake when i buyed this phone ...poor quality poor nokia care service everything is poor ....its like that my money got lost somewhere really bad really
Dear N8 followers, breaking news is that N8 has a best camera when it comes to photography, but video is not upto mark. Thats it...here N8 edge gets over and other gadgets on market take over. I am using it for a few days now and surely will sell it off by next week. I tried playing mp4 videos and noticed a lag and tearing in frames. My Blackberry Gemini plays videos much better than N8. Android rules right now and Samsung Galaxy S wins in every department expect photography. Super Amoled huge screen, Storage and processor power and thousands of free apps on Android market...Will get it by next week. Friends have you ever thought why mobile pioneers are rolling out Android models one after another...Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG and now computer Giants like Acer, Dell and Asus are rolling out bigger screens and powerfull specs with Android base....Think about it...You will one day find the answer.
